Hi David, yes. A Chromecast would be the perfect thing to get your TV online and give you several options to share your content from mobile to the big screen. The next question would be, what content is it that you want to share? There are lots and lots and lots or cast-enabled apps, so you could just tap on the cast logo within those apps and share it with whatever you've called your Chromecast. But if you buy Chromecast with Google TV, you'll effectively have the smart TV functionality built-in, so might be able to navigate to that online content or app with the remote or by asking Google Assistant. Follow the on-screen instructions within the Google Home app and photo the QR code on the bottom of the router when asked. The Home app will then guide you through setting up and positioning your other Wifi points.

Sign in with your TH-cam Premium details and you have all of the benefits of TH-cam Music. Hi Linda, It's certainly possible to make and answer calls, verbally, Pixel Phones with Google Assistant. And you can make Meet calls and video calls on Google Nest speakers and displays, verbally, with Google Assistant... We can't really advise on iPhones but it might be worth checking if Siri can do the same on your mom's iPhone? And how easy that will be for her. Good luck
I don't fully understand what is going on with Google Home but the QOL and service has been consistently degrading for the last few years. It doesn't even seem like it's from neglect, yall just keep changing the system in ways that negatively impact operations. Heck this training video isn't even valid anymore with the new UI which from what can tell adds zero positive to the platform. I really hope yall can sort this out because it really doesn't look good.
