    Seeing AI I think is by far one of the best apps out there I've been using it for quite a while now and i truly enjoy it

      Yes, it's a great app! I'm glad that it's on Android.

    Carrie, on my Samsung Galaxy A54 running 1UI 6.0, I can confirm that the Ask SeeingAI feature is definitely there when it comes to describing images. It isn't limited to the Document section of the app as was mentioned in the video

      Oh man! I need to make an updated update video. LOL. I recorded this before the Seeing AI update released at the end of March. At the time, there was no Ask Seeing AI feature. Glad to see that now there is.

    Nice video. THanks.
    I agree about the lack of availability of the World channel on Android. I would really like to have the indoor navigation capabilities of that channel on Android. If you are interested please drop Microsoft's Seeing AI team feedback to that effect. Thanks.

      Yes! i would love the world channel. Maybe they eventually will... maybe.. Hopefully it doesn't take as long as how long it took them to get seeing ai on aandroid....

      @@carrieonaccessibility I just thought of something when I was watching the video and listening to the video. I just realized that the Seeing AI app got the new update to where the scene channel that you was doing in the video it now has a update to where you can ask questions about what is in the scene I use it all the time and I love it a lot.

    its great and ive been using it a lot more recently just a few days ago i wanted to charge my speaker and i wasnt sure if its plugged in i asked seeing ai if the charging light was on and it worked great i barely open lookout anymore the image descriptions are just much more accurate also has the light sensing option and supports my country's currency as well im glad its on android love it.

    • @carrieonaccessibility
      @carrieonaccessibility  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's awesome! I think it's all around better and can do a lot more. I will say Lookout is more sensitive and can read more, but that's a curse and blessing. They all have their pro's and cons... but for the AI portion, Seeing AI and Be My AI are way better than Lookout.

      @@carrieonaccessibility yeah im hoping for lookout to also get some a.i stuff who knows maybe google can find some good uses for gemini in there seeing a.i is much more complete for me with the image description light and color its not perfect does scare me sometimes with weird things like man with a coat or woman in white dress when the room is empty and can be better but when it works it works great and yes i do use lookout for text and documents but its not very often so umm i havent tried be my ai maybe i should.

    I need to test the update out on my iphone 6 and my nokia c200 with Android which is on OS 12, as well. I studied the Talkback Braille display commands and shortcut gestures for the display with Android last night. It took me awhile to start thinking of it as shapes forms from the dot references with any added 7 & 8 dots and the space or caret keys. Then it made more sense with the letter shortcuts and menus and editing stuff. Did not pair my refreshable display with any of my other devices yet. Just charged it up, and familiarized myself with every part of the machine. It was nice that it displayed the charging status in words and symbols. UEB. I could change it I suppose to an earlier code, but with probably stick with UEB, as I keep refreshing myself on the UEB symbols and punctuation changes trying to get used to retaining the ones I don't naturally figure out with the context making sense of what the code has changed to. I remember going over the plus and minus recently, but will have to look it up again, for one of the Android braille display entry commands, as well as the new left and right parentheses, brackets, and fancier parentheses for certain purposes. You know with the little points going outward in the center of them.

      My brain blitzed where I was headed with this. I was thinking of testing the Seeing AI update out on describing the buttons on my new Zoomex refreshable braille display, from NLS. Also I thought about a new sound recording piece of hardware interface, with its buttons, and knobs. :)

    it's a very useful program I'm totally blind and an IOS user with voice over, and I'm seen it become more and more useful, a quick question if someone sneds me a photo say on skype that I keep on my phone can I imort it to seeing ai and have it describe or does it just have to be things that I take through the app and my phone anyone know, ? Love to all from Florida.

    • @splashesin8
      @splashesin8 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Maybe if you save it in files or something like a file sharing app that will let you open things and then take a screenshot when you have the picture opened on your phone or out of an email attachment of the picture you send yourself. You can get Seeing AI to read or recognize the screenshot scene. I don't know how it would describe a person though. I don't think I've tried to get it to describe anybody, or even me. To check things like hair color etc. When camera or video is on for other picture taking the voiceover will sometimes say person and where person or face is in picture view grid like center or something like that. I wish it would help me documents like that the way old KNFB reader used to.

      you should be able to share the picture using the share sheet. It will be there and you can share it to seeing AI. Then you'll need to let it process, then it'll have a more info button there. So, in a way, it's a bit of an extra step to get to more info, but it still works great.

    could you share the link to the Button Mapper app (if I heard it correctly)? And maybe do a short tutorial on how to use it?. Also; what voice are you using with your TTS?

      There's a new update to Seeing AI that has the chat feature! I'm doing a video on it next week. :) It's pretty similar to the be my AI... It's interesting, seems like everyone is coming out with an AI chat these days.
