At that time I was working next door to Calicchio Trumpets, on Willoughby in Hollywood, at a quantity repro lab. At the time I was also taking trumpet lessons from Nelson Hatt, a dear friend and mentor.
RIP Nick Ceroli, an amazing drummer taken much too soon!
Chauncy Welsch was a very musical soloist. He played a great solo on "Soaring."

I read an obituary of Bob Florence which compared him to Duke Ellington. Not an overstatement.
