Hello! You can alter this by cutting any multiple of 3" of fabric and then add 2". For example, cutting 62" of fabric would work. A 62" cut piece of fabric will have 61 holes on that side. Here in the USA, we call it an "awl." It is most often used in woodworking. You would poke a small hole in the wood with this awl first, then it makes it easier to hammer in a nail or use a screwdriver with a screw. You might have them in your local hardware stores that sell tools.

Hello! I use a combination of a T-square and long metal yard sticks to measure and cut. They sell tools at both hardware stores as well as fabric shops.
Also I looked at your pattern to see how to adjust the size to make it bigger. You do 3" multiples and then add 2", so would it be like 6" and add 2" to make it 8" square? Did I understand that correctly? Thanks!

Mine are about 1/2 inch from the edge. And yes, that is the formula for making the pattern larger.

What if you want to make a larger one, like a 4' X 6' ? Couldn't the same pattern be used, just putting more scallops on the 6' sides?
Hello - the written pattern on my website explains what to do if you wanted to alter this pattern
Also, would it be harder to add another layer of fleece I feel like one layer is too thin.
As long as you line up all of the holes perfectly, it shouldn't be any problem working with 2 layers of fleece.
