The factory where my father worked had a forklifter with a Volkswagen engine. I am not sure but the brand could have been Linde. They fed it with gas because it worked inside too.
@@Chappomusic The first generations were full throttle proof. In the manuals was written that the max speed also was the continuous speed. Normally they could not overheat, in contrast to later generations, especially the 1600 ccm engines. This one here has a reduced rotational speed, 3000 instead of 4000 rpm to avoid overheating or other problems.
@@roNNie_LVIII Well as I recall those engines also had a different camshaft and ignition with different timing. But we did not want 2500 or 3000 but also 4000 or 5000 rpm ...:) so we " tuned " a lot and that was what I meant with overheating a lot .. but we didn't care if it overheated - it kept running
Seedmaster 125 sitting there 30 years old long time needs everything battery replacement new parts awesome video flexliy bless you this weekend Saturday
Excellent little mini harvester, a wash and a service (sort the fuel tank, maybe some belts and lubricate the important points and check the hydraulics), would make this a good machine for someone with a small holding ---- is there a "hood" missing from the back end where the walker/sieve boards are?
Was this the original Engine? It looks like they mounted a german portable Fire Pump („TS 8“) On that Thing….they used to have VW-Boxer Engines with a Case lokking like that back in the days…
Very cool, never knew that VW Beetle engines were used on farm equipment.
I'havent too... Mustie1 have to see this thing... amazing !
If the Earth stopped spinning this man could get it started again! 👌🏼

Good old German vehicles never die ;)
Honestly that's the last place I'd have expected to see a beetle engine, Mustie1 would feel right at home working on that I'm sure... :P

I was about to post exact the same comment...:D
Back in the day you saw vw engines everywhere . And why not . No need for coolant , quite reliable ( although it would overheat quickly ) and cheap !
