except for the fact you ruin a perfectly good tape measure that doesn't even do what it's mean for, and as someone else said, the paint will chip off after a few rolls/unrolls

@@samsaverino8159I think he meant the tape measure would stop pulling out. The only downside of this I can think of is rolling it in an out is definitely gonna rub the paint and marks out
Such a good idea especially since people art really able to own a house they know they can keep, i remember being so sad when we moved from my childhood home
We all looked at the doorframe holding back tears when we were forced to leave under unforeseen circumstances. This is genius, for that reason. Make those memories mobile! Thank you so much.
Do it in white, and something that will make it more textured. Then get them to draw on the space of their height!! Everytime you measure, also get a art project! If I ever have kids this is what I want to do but with a wooden board in their rooms. First measure when they start walking and go from their. Would be such a cool final piece!
Why didn't I think of this!? I'm not able to have anymore children because of cancer. I only had my daughter. This is a bright idea. ❤ Thank you for sharing.
Justin Flom you are an amazing dad and your videos inspire me to do more fun and creative things with my daughter. Every day is a blessing. You are the man!!
The idea is so cute. But I would worry that the paint is going to chip right off with opening and closing the tape measure. I would make sure to write down the heights as well so that if this ever broke or the measurements chipped off you still have the ability to remake them.
I would love to have a husband as creative and fun as he is, he's a creative, loving hands on Husband and Dad and I want one just like him ❤ on my bucket list 😂

A good alternative rather than mark it on the wall, this can bring anywhere in case you’re moving to other houses

Or staying in an apartment, or foster parents sending kids back home. It's a really good idea.
Those tape measures gunna go in the bin in the not so distant future
