Checked him out, he's Stephen Teakle a talented Australian pianist, musical director, tour manager, and producer and obviously a well rehearsed comedian, he also worked with the indigineous peoples of Roper River for his honours degree.
Saw this originally on S n Specks, and was intrigued the way the musical tones & expressions engaged the audience, this is my fave YT vid, we are actually secret organ lovers, go on, admit.
In the 1970s there was always a music shop with someone playing the organ in big malls. This is just lovely clip, thank you for posting and thanks Barry, you make me smile so wide it hurts.
This is one of my favourite segments on the show and he is the most entertaining artist to have performed in it. He's even included on the SnS best bits DVD.😉
Ive watched this every day since last week and pissed myself laughing each time. Our band is going to Adelaide in August and i will be stopping in to World of Organs .I would love to see him playing live. You are a bloody funny guy Barry/Stephen.
Simply the best new act I've seen for ages - confessions: OK for me it's not real funk unless electric keyboards are featured - OK I'm a Hammond fan - OK I've been into this sound since I was 5 when I was taken to see Reginald Dixon play his Wurlitzer at Blackpool Tower . . . but HEY! Barry's got so much more. Website. Ringtones. The sublime 'The sands upon my hands.' I'm a fan with sore sides.
Hahaha I cannot watch this without chuckling all the way through lol, his grinny facial expressions are hilarious n his mid 1970s electric organist fashion standard with the polyester suits n mo n Barry White puffy hairdo certainly suit him down to the ground! I can imagine an organist looking like him back in the 70s playing at wedding functions n recording electric organ covers of pop n disco songs to be released on a K-Tel record lol.
@Moose007100 - Yes he is the character who embraced organs & safari suits in the 70's, also appearing at the Fringe Comedy Festival. Barry Morgan is a creation of Stephen Teakle, similar to Bob Down being a creation of Mark Trevorrow, also a 70's safari suited throwback.
The organ sounds so beautiful! But why does the audience laugh in such a sudden bursts? Is it just because this man shows his teeth in a sudden fashion? Or is there something more to it? Didn't get that part. But the organ sounds awesome.
Yokky , he has some quirky little habits in his facial features which many find hilarious. It’s possible that you have Aspergers, because many Aspies don’t understand the subtleties of emotion shown in the face.
Allistur Yes and I also said "generally speaking" if you were to take my comment in context instead of misrepresenting what I said. To put it in simple terms for you it means most of the time not all of the time.
Deevo037 After your last comment I just couldn't respond like a normal person anymore because yeah...I misread everything and I need simple terms. Thanks for helping me figure that out!
Barry does a great job carrying off the character but look up Tommy Seebach (Danish keyboard player) in a video of him playing and old Shadows hit 'Apache' in the 70's. I'd say Barry would admit to pinching Tommy's persona as you'd swear he was Tommy's love child. Also check out Tommy as Zlad. More than a little bit of Sascha Baron Cohen (Borat) in those vids. If Tommy was alive today he could sue! :-))
I thought the ABC didn't allow advertising, let alone free plugs. Sick of the free plugs that pollute the ABCX, everything from Alan Kohler, every Aussie bank, financial planners, and music shops from the Rundle Mall
Barry Morgan is just a joy factory.
Omega Soypreme , the world needs more Barry Morgan ♥️👍
Possibly the best clip from S&S ever. God, I miss this show. And I really miss Barry Morgan from the World of Organs!
nothing quite holds up to the RHPS part though.
Even the reuns are better than anything else on tele these days...
Checked him out, he's Stephen Teakle a talented Australian pianist, musical director, tour manager, and producer and obviously a well rehearsed comedian, he also worked with the indigineous peoples of Roper River for his honours degree.
webaroos , I don’t know whether to feel happy or sad... thanks anyway 👍
I have watched this clip 20 times and still laugh. Saw his show live in Braidwood last weekend and my ribs still hurt. What a legend!
seeing him live would be dangerous to ya health laughing that hard!!!! LOL!!!
I can never watch this once
without replaying the video
this was the best moment in the whole 7 years i swear...
Saw this originally on S n Specks, and was intrigued the way the musical tones & expressions engaged the audience, this is my fave YT vid, we are actually secret organ lovers, go on, admit.

God I miss this show :'(
agree.. Didn't they bring out a new show with different people in it?? I believe it was a major flop... these 3 really had good chemistry
This is one of my favourite segments on the show and he is the most entertaining artist to have performed in it. He's even included on the SnS best bits DVD.😉
Now my day is just that little bit brighter.
He (Barry) is a legend, sounds like something from way back when Tommy Hanlon was on tv...
I saw him perform today and it was fucking incredible
Ive watched this every day since last week and pissed myself laughing each time. Our band is going to Adelaide in August and i will be stopping in to World of Organs .I would love to see him playing live. You are a bloody funny guy Barry/Stephen.
defrepplicaaustralia , You probably know this, but Barry’s world of organs exist only in his mind, unfortunately. 👍

webaroos , wow! So his real name is Stephen Teakle ?
I didn't know that the Hammond Aurora could sound so good! The backgrounds aren't half bad.
Love him! Surely he will become an Aussie Icon!
Easily the best musical guest they have had this season.
Best
'Look what they've done to my song ma'
All season
2:20 is a classic from this segment.
Barry the organ donor 🎹👌
lol, barry morgan is great.. loved this ep ;) (ps: its still on iview for a couple more days)
And now I'm looking for sheetmetal roller benders...
The best part of this is that the song nobody guessed was I Like it Both Ways.
I want one :D
wish they'd just let him play, that was awesome
This guy makes me be happy to be from Adelaide.
EINSTEIN of the organs !!!
@webaroos but according to world of organs website he is Barry Morgan
Myf is so hot. Gunna miss this show.
That smile. What more needs to be said. He is just adorable....in a goofy kinda 70's porn star kinda way.
OMG funniest thing EVER!!!!!!!
2:40 and 4:27 are the best ever
i wouldnt have even bin playing the game, id be too interested in the organ man lol
1:30 buzzer fits the song
@SiobhanKelly1 what type of organis it?
Burt Reynolds looks with Liberace abilities!
What a champion. Can he play?
👍😙😘
Boss
@benhsau I'm tipping he'll be back for the Christmas special!
The organ sounds so beautiful!
But why does the audience laugh in such a sudden bursts?
Is it just because this man shows his teeth in a sudden fashion? Or is there something more to it?
Didn't get that part.
But the organ sounds awesome.
Yokky because his facial expressions
Yokky , he has some quirky little habits in his facial features which many find hilarious. It’s possible that you have Aspergers, because many Aspies don’t understand the subtleties of emotion shown in the face.
Oh god, my sides!!!
@benhsau good bet :D
whos the girl in the red and blue?
That's Miff Warhurst
Who’s the brunette..?
STEVENP Park has just started
I just wanna hear him play,
Kinda wish they didn't buzz in
Generally speaking the Hammond organ is a pretty cheesy instrument, it's rare to find a muso who can make them genuinely entertaining.
HAHAHAHA....'cheesy Instrument'. You call Deep purple Cheesy?
Allistur Yes and I also said "generally speaking" if you were to take my comment in context instead of misrepresenting what I said. To put it in simple terms for you it means most of the time not all of the time.
Deevo037
Me still no understand, gief simpeler terrmmss plox!!
Allistur Are you for real or are you just taking the piss?
Deevo037
After your last comment I just couldn't respond like a normal person anymore because yeah...I misread everything and I need simple terms. Thanks for helping me figure that out!
I find this FOW!
LOL @ Meshel Laurie 3:18
"kin funny as!!!"

He looks a bit like a young Ronnie Corbett.
I thought the ABC didn't allow advertising, let alone free plugs. Sick of the free plugs that pollute the ABCX, everything from Alan Kohler, every Aussie bank, financial planners, and music shops from the Rundle Mall
idiot.
Miserable fuckwit.
Dave Grohl
I reckon he looks a bit like an older version of Dev Patel lol
