Renowned cinematographer Santosh Sivan was honoured with the prestigious Pierre Angenieux award at Cannes.... He is the first Indian cinematographer to be honoured with this ExcelLens in Cinematography award....Excellent cinematographer..... We had seen his excellence not only in malayalam cinema alone, but also in Indian cinema, at large... Very sorry and unfortunate that no one speaks or even mentions about it, as it deservedly should..... So sad that he has become the victim of selective-forgetfulness and is being consciously avoided, sort of.....

You're right. Grand Prix is actually said as Grann Pree, because it's French.
Also, Cannes is Kan, because it is French too!
Don't go by Google pronunciation. Check the French pronunciation. Ciao 😬

Nona your passion for Indian cinema is the reason i seek out your guidance for my movie choices. i believe that the Grand Prix winner at Cannes has a distributor for the US and i will be first in line to see it. i am excited as hell about Kantara 2 and all of us in america are on pins and needles waiting for the next SSR production; so bravo India, bravo!!! btw, why does the like button not show? the thumbs down button is there though, that's strange.

If they don't push in an item song just for the sake of it, there is a good possibility that the movie would become successful.

Pronounce it -kaann- not -kaans-, in French, s is usually silent if it is in the end of word like in Cannes

But Bollywood automatically take the credit. Recruit the people with potential and cook a disaster of a film with their Bollywood family.
