Love your video and plan on making these! I do have a question and if anybody can answer that would be great. We are what you would call sissy drinkers when it comes to alcohol so I don't know too much about it but was wondering does the alcohol cook out of this? Also, how long will these store for? Thank you
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! Some alcohol evaporates but there is still some left. Maybe err on less, and fill with more syrup and natural peach juices? My husband eats these by the bowlful during the winter with ice cream, but he is not a lightweight alcohol wise. He says they are mild for him, but that's him...LOL! Happy canning! Thanks for sharing with the community. If anyone else has tips for canning with alcohol, jump on in!
The Urban Domestic Diva awesome thank you! What kind of peaches do you use? Am I suppose to let the peaches ripen a couple of days before I start the canning process? Today I purchased peaches and I was very unsuccessful.
@@OJ_626 Oh yes, I would wait until the peaches are ripe and sweet but still have some firmness. Sadly, peaches are not in season yet, unless they are imported and my guess is imports are hard because of COVID. SO peaches in the store right now will be tough and not have a lot of flavor. If you place them in a paper bag on the counter for a couple days they will ripen a bit and possibly sweeten up? SO many stores have low stock on everything right now. Peaches are an August fruit and best at a local farmstand if you can do it! My husband eats these canned peaches right out of the jar for dessert all winter and sometimes on ice cream. Good luck with your project!
thank you so much for this video :) Ive just started preserving and this looks amazing!

What oz are your Ball mason Jars?
32 oz (quart) jars. Try and get the wide mouth ones, they will be easier to fill. Happy Canning!!!
