I've watched enough Eminem reactions from many different TH-camrs to know that Stevie, Knox and Scriptwork are the go to guys for these sort of breakdowns. There are levels to it and they are right up there imo. Edit: Some of you guys are right. I feel I've done a real disservice if I didn't include TheThirdErnest with these three. Plus there's a huge difference between people who do breakdowns and people who do reactions. Then there are those that do both or 50:50. I'm referring to those who do breakdowns and those guys I named are my go to guys for sure.
Knox watches other Reactors and reads everything off of Genius before recording his videos. That guy is phone. Stevie and Scriptwork are the best, no cap-
@@GFXMOD you sure abt that? I don't get it. He's a lyrical rapper based on the music I've heard from him. Plus, Genius doesn't break down those bars in details. They just give you a couple of explanation, a lil bit of history, some references, etc. That's abt it. Knox can literally break down a lot of bars and go into them with so much details, almost line by line than majority of the reactors do and he catches additional bars which I haven't heard other reactors missed. So, I don't get why you say those negative things. I respect your opinion but he's still dope to me though.
Probably more so as well considering Doggystyle is Snoop's only critically acclaimed album along with his contributions to the Chronic and 2001 which are all Dre production. Snoop only really had a few hot singles after those (thanks to the exposure) and a lot of features. Snoop definitely has his own style and presence on tracks but he's no lyrical genius or hitmaker by himself.
It was actually Tupac Shakur and not Dr. Dre who brought Snoop Dogg in. Dr Dre had doubts but Tupac was the one who brought Snoop and trusted Snoop to do it's thing and they were together ever since untill Snoop betrayed pac with his I got love for the east coast and i got love for the westcoast. Possibly he thought he was squashing things but he made it worse for his own camp

I like the parallel with Zeus. It goes deep. Greek gods are immortal. They cannot truly 'die'. In order to 'kill' the gods, you have to destroy the significance their domains hold. Zeus can only die when the sky and the lightning are no longer acknowledged and worshipped by the people. Em's legacy can only die once his work is no long worshipped and acknowledged by his fans.
This song is for Snoop. The whoooole thing. The self proclaimed “godfather” of rap. Em making sure there’s no questions about whether or not he has made an impact to hip hop culture. He takes it even further to address racial injustice and uses his influence to support BLM and eliminate the problem. What have you done snoop? Bite the camp that feeds you. When dogs do that they get put down.
And is not the first time in Death Row was the same, he was jealous at 2pac and wen in 1996 on the NY radio station saying Big and Puffy are his homeboys. so pac was pissed and called snoop a bitch ass sell out n***a
@W00F yeah when 2pac got shot SNOOP went to talk to the police as he pointed his finger to SUGE... which makes no sense why would you sit next to a person you know is going to be shot????? I mean come on. Snoop knows more about that whole shooting. LIL Half dead was in the car that shot 2pac... which is his cousin
Actually top gods in greek mythology was gaia, tartarus, eros and erebus they where the first celestial being created by chaos but the was imprisoned by zeus
When eminem says “I had DOG backwards”, he didn’t only mean “GOD” is “DOG” backwards, he literally meant he had Snoop dog “backwards”. He thought he was one thing, but he wound up being the complete opposite.
@mangusti hopo I thought it was a double in the sense of Dogfather(snoop's album that flipped the word Godfather) "You were like a God(father) to me" "I had Dog(father) backwards" it's not a diss exactly, but it's definitely a shot back
I love how Stevie broke down the “black thought” portion and he said “em at this stage doesn’t need to but still inspiring others to reach for more”. But I personally believe there are so many people that won’t get that at all if he doesn’t break it down or if they don’t hear a break down of it. It just goes over their heads and I think that’s why a lot of people don’t understand how great he is or how so many hate on em. They just can’t comprehend everything hes doing. They don’t catch it. They miss the doubles. Hell the don’t understand some of the face value. The homophones, the cadence, the mental illustration, the literation, the story telling, the word bending, the pronunciation that is at the most elite level, the complex syllables, the layering, and on and on.... he does so much that people truly just can’t comprehend it all and they don’t care to. You can’t be a lazy listener and appreciate Eminem to the fullest. You have to put in effort and even if some could comprehend it they aren’t willing to put the effort in. Which is why he has stans and why he has haters. There aren’t many in the middle I don’t believe. Just my opinion but I stand by it.
Snoop did that to himself. Remember when Dre drop "I need a doctor". There he said that everyone left him except Em. Eminem showed Dre what a true friendship is, while Snoop turned his back on him.
@naim sharif its wasnt about the top 10 list. It was about snoop saying "i can do without eminems music altogether". that's dissrespectful for any artist regardless of skin color or how much fame the artist in question has. If you told a painter that his paintings are thrash and shouldnt have ever been painted simply because the artist wasnt doing what everyone else is doing, then that doesnt make sense. And since you bring in the race card, imagine a white rapper saying that about a black rapper's musi, that your music is irrelevant. The whole world would be pissed if you turn it around. This isnt about white privilege. Oh and eminem was dirt poor when he was young so where's the privilege in that?
@naim sharif ok i respect your opinion on everything except the privilege thing. I dont understand how white people can have a privilege if they grew up dirt poor. So you are saying eastern european white people have privilege to? Eastern European people are called Slavic people. Litteraly means slave people. The Romans called them that because those caucasians have been enslaved for over thousands of years. How exactly are those caucasians privileged? The world isnt as black and white as you think
Yo I usually hate these long reactions but this dude does it right when it comes to EM! Educating the youngsters. for us who understand Eminem this is awesome.
What bothered me about Snoop's comment isn't that "He can do without Eminem's music" that's his prerogative, it's his top list of people that he gave that's "better" than Eminem! None of them make music anymore, they're not even relevant in today's climate... I want Snoop to name some mofos that's better than Eminem that's making music today, cuz it's definitely ain't Snoop. Lots of people make bangers, very few people make classics!
Im 47 and all the rappers snoop named are pioneers of hip hop. But overall em should be in anyone's top 10 all time. I can't see how he wouldn't be on anyone's top ten.
He's just acting as a gatekeeper. He listed Rakim as someone Em cldnt fk with but Rakim himself praised Eminem countless times. Lost all respect for Snoop for this
@@jcaashby3 I don't think it's the top ten that rubbed Em the wrong way. It was the other stuff he said like great white hype and all of that... My question is. Could snoop fuck with Kane, Rakim cool j and G Rap? As a camp mate snoop was reckless
that was actually one I got myself. But I've been listening to MTBMB (a-side) for months now, and Tariq Trotter gets mentioned there by name AND is on a track, so I was informed already
Just to clarify something in case you didn't know, an "idiot savant" is a medical term in psychology and neurology. Usually coined at people with autism with great knowledge or skill in a specific and limited field. This also happens to people with braindamage after some trauma. See Savant Syndrome. He doesnt mean it as an oxymoron i believe, although it is cut/rhymed like that in the lyrics.
@@cristiandobre4318 he probably means both. As he is a master in double entendres. You could indeed say he seems himself as a idiotic + savant. Both smart as stupid. Like a dumb smart person. A smart individual making (stupid) mistakes or mistakes that normal people don't do. He also rhymed "Idiotic" to the previous line: I'm afraid to "unlock it".
There was a leaked em verse where he made chris brown and rhianna jokes and was saying shit like he supported it but obviously he didn't actually mean it. Like the Manchester bombing thing
@@ParadoxX-lt1vu It was not the Conway song. In the Conway leak, he went at Diddy's Revolt platform. The Rihanna lines is from a version of "Things Get Worse" that leaked either last year or sometime earlier this year.
About the beats. He makes the simplest beat sound great. His voice, rhymes, cadence and everything else he does are like instruments to finish the beats.
My favorite part of all of Our Lord and Destroyer’s reactions you do, it is the smile. For someone to go from casually hearing Em to actually HEARING Em all I have to say is Welcome to the Stan.
Exactly, battles aren't supposed to be about choruses and writing a song. It's about the battle. Edit: White Gold did the "You Gon Learn" track with Em and Royce on the last album👍🔥
The whole Zeus title could also be a reference. Zeus became the ruler of Olympus by killing his own father, Kronos. Em might be saying he ain't scared of sitting at the top alone, nobody is safe when it comes to acting disrespectful for no reason.
The top alone can be very lonely tho.. :/ Careful what u wish for.. Am I the only one who sees this emotional? Bcuz this was Eminem having disappointment session n apologizing n giving warning messages at ppl then the hook "I'll be on my own like head in the clouds" It's sad he's experiencing ppl turning against him. This is why I don't think he cares abt new records getting broken by him n achieving new milestones.. Bcuz he is super successful but what's success without real friends n family. Eminems personal life is a messy tragedy and I wouldn't want to trade at all to be him. Especially after the gun blazing song.. He talks abt a woman who did him wrong and name drops her, Michelle. I thought maybe it's metaphor for the hip hop game..?
In Godzilla he calls himself a Monster in the chorus, Great Reaction!!! caught all the bars and doubles and triples. blew my mind with The Roots and Black Thought bar connection. That one went over my head the first time i heard it.
Also the “foot thru it like a stirrup” plays off the Aunt Jemima syrup...stir shit up. Also... He does have a song called monster. With Rihanna. Also, the song Godzilla. Which monster is said a lot. Rap-God. God-zilla. Monster. Head in the clouds. It all ties in. Em’s the best.

They're in my top 5 as well, check out TheThirdErnest as well if you like them
@@dennispugh7368 oh yeah, he's definitely in my top 5 too. I just named my top 3 haha.
@@pearl0938 I used to watch Knox until I realized how fake and phony is. But it's alright bud, if you enjoy it, go ahead! No worries.
What Snoop is saying about Eminem is true about himself. No Dr dre No career for Snoop

@@jcIIXVIIIVII he has really mastered using his voice as part of the beat
"Got you feeling me, whether willing or unwillingly" - No apologies by Eminem
When did he say he didn’t like the beat?
I didn't catch when he said he didn't like the beat this time. He does often say it for Ems songs tho. I like the beat to this one.
"I can do without that" his voice still echos in my head, damn the jealousy is unbelievable.
Word..!!
And is not the first time in Death Row was the same, he was jealous at 2pac and wen in 1996 on the NY radio station saying Big and Puffy are his homeboys. so pac was pissed and called snoop a bitch ass sell out n***a
@W00F yeah bro facts, SNOOP was responsible for the fucking riots inside Death Row, I even think he had something to do with PACS death...
When dogs do that they get put down. Love that lol.
What did snoop do
It’s not enough that Em is saying he’s a god “Zeus” but, that there were 12 gods in Greek mythology. Zeus was the Top one. The number 1 god. 🔥 🔥
Actually top gods in greek mythology was gaia, tartarus, eros and erebus they where the first celestial being created by chaos but the was imprisoned by zeus
So in my eyes he is saying he has taken over the game and is now the best 🙂😂

When eminem says “I had DOG backwards”, he didn’t only mean “GOD” is “DOG” backwards, he literally meant he had Snoop dog “backwards”. He thought he was one thing, but he wound up being the complete opposite.
👍
Snoop flipped on him so he flipped on Snoop right back. Literally flipped his name
its both, its one of em's many talents
@mangusti hopo I thought it was a double in the sense of Dogfather(snoop's album that flipped the word Godfather)
"You were like a God(father) to me" "I had Dog(father) backwards" it's not a diss exactly, but it's definitely a shot back
Please stop breaking my brain!
Bars!!!
The Roots & Black Thought tribute scheme is insane, but the hook by Whitegold is crazy, and this whole song is a hit All Day! 😎
Snoop low key jealous of eminem and dre's relationship. Em took that dre role from snoop
Snoop did that to himself. Remember when Dre drop "I need a doctor". There he said that everyone left him except Em. Eminem showed Dre what a true friendship is, while Snoop turned his back on him.
@naim sharif this....doesn’t make sense? Lol
@naim sharif read the whole comment back to yourself lol I think I had a stroke trying to read it
@naim sharif its wasnt about the top 10 list.
Damn right man! Damn right!!
Im 47 and all the rappers snoop named are pioneers of hip hop. But overall em should be in anyone's top 10 all time. I can't see how he wouldn't be on anyone's top ten.

Thanks for the explanation dawg
That's a very nice addition but he says "Idiotic" so I think Stevie's right
Man, us stans be out here thinking em is using neurology lingo
@@cristiandobre4318 he probably means both. As he is a master in double entendres. You could indeed say he seems himself as a idiotic + savant. Both smart as stupid. Like a dumb smart person. A smart individual making (stupid) mistakes or mistakes that normal people don't do.
He also rhymed "Idiotic" to the previous line: I'm afraid to "unlock it".
@@jontraz5993 Em uses alot of lingo from every possible field to add the necessary twists in meanings.
“Rock bottom” is an idea in rehab, so when he’s talkin’ about sobriety he’s sayin’ he’s never hitting rock bottom again, he ain’t goin’ back...
Also a song Eminem made called rock bottom 🤔
And that he's never hitting a bottom, referring to downing liquor empty.
Hitting the bottom of a bottle is a more common term and I think em having gone through rehab intended both meanings
There was a leaked em verse where he made chris brown and rhianna jokes and was saying shit like he supported it but obviously he didn't actually mean it. Like the Manchester bombing thing
Stevie missed this and so did I. Wasn't aware of a leak...
He went full slim shady on that

My favorite part of all of Our Lord and Destroyer’s reactions you do, it is the smile. For someone to go from casually hearing Em to actually HEARING Em all I have to say is Welcome to the Stan.
Exactly, battles aren't supposed to be about choruses and writing a song. It's about the battle.
Edit: White Gold did the "You Gon Learn" track with Em and Royce on the last album👍🔥
@ yeah, I don't think he likes to give light to people who don't really need it.
Careful what u wish for..
