I studied film production and now I teach animation. Although I think the teachers of my film school were really good, I always find Studiobinder's videos as masterpieces of cinematography and scriptwriting teaching. My only critique is that you mainly focus on Hollywood movies, leaving aside the marvels of other countries' productions or techniques, like the rich and complex stories of japanese anime or latinamerican movies. As I live and work in Colombia, I must realize that this attitude towards our cinema or towards animation films is common and the fiipside would be rare and I cannot blame you for that. Sergio Leone's movies had my fav character introductions. What's interesting, the character of Harmonica was introduced three times in Once Upon a Time in The west, each time more badass. And the introduction of the main antagonist in the same movie? Sends shivers down the spine
I love the hinting at what and who a character is (and how they act) more than the all-out description, but there have been movies (and books) where this also works (for me). I like the mystery and that my brain can try to figure them out (or my expectations be subverted/changed).

First it shows they have some control over the regular police which shows them as an Authority and specifically one within the legal system. People that if you are against them you can't turn to the state for help, so you would become more isolated as an outlaw. Secondly, having shown that Trinity is superhumanly powerful and dangerous, She then runs scared from the Agents

Yes!!! Another phenomenal video from the Studio. I wonder, it might make for a great lesson to study character exits as well. We don’t always know when we’ve seen the last of a character, but their final moments on screen are meant to leave the audience with an impression that extends beyond the ending of the film. Chigurh’s exit is almost just as ambiguous as his entrance. We don’t know if he was caught or if he died, which leaves us wondering if he’s still out there somewhere. But his final action is leaving money (a big motif of the film) in the hands of two young boys, who then proceed to fight over who the money belongs to. These boys went from helpful and generous to suddenly greedy toward one another. This final act informs the audience that Chigurh is not just a psychopath, but in fact the embodiment of evil which passes itself down from generation to generation. It can’t be caught and it can’t be killed. It’ll always be out there.
I think your screenwriting software is very useful to filmmakers and screenwriters. But there is a problem occurred when generating the PDF. Can you please fix that problem?

I watched Inglorious Basterds just yesterday and that was what caused me to click on this video- every character introduction in that movie is AMAZING. "The Bear jew" intro alone makes that movie one of my favorites.
Helpful video, helpful issue. I point out only that the screenplay submitted by a writer isn’t the same as the shooting script. Some of these points are more for a shooting script, and the director will be involved.

I know you’ve done antagonists… but a video on why Batman’s Rogues Gallery is the most enduring antagonists of all time. How they reflect and distort some aspect of his psyche and use those principles on how to apply to a screenplay. Tons of examples with that world.

It's unfortunate that you've used Kevin Spacey multiple times in this video. Although his performances are, indeed, memorable, it's impossible to look at him now and not think of the people he victimized. Bad decision, especially since you had literally thousands of memorable character introductions to choose from.
You say that, but he beat the case and had his name ruined by those people. But since you are quick to talk, do you have any evidence that he did the things the courts found him innocent for? Did you personally investigate his crimes and know that without a doubt, he did it? Or did you just see people accuse him and say he did it ?

Honestly, I got bored about four minutes in. Normally great work. But some how you managed to choose shows/movies that for the most part I haven't seen or couldn't care less about. And of them, only Indiana Jones and Groundhog Day comes up in my mind other than when someone mentions them. So by definition, the rest are failures as far as character introductions.
