Oh yes!! And There Was No One Left is one of my favorite songs from Dreamcatcher. I just love the elegantly sensual tone of the song as well as the subtleties shown in the accompanying MV. One of the key indicator for me to decide whether I'm a fan of a group or not is the amount B side songs that I love, and Dreamcatcher surely has a lot of them in store.
Both Wonderland and July 7th are on the Alone In The City album, my favorite Nightmare Era mini! ^_^ Can't wait for the Piri reaction! You will be blown away, TRUST ME! July 7th really is Handong's song, more than you know! It's based on a Chinese legend about an oxherd who falls in love with a fairy. The fairy's mother, a goddess, doesn't approve, so she separates them by turning them into stars, but they're allowed to meet once a year on the seventh day of the seventh month (technically of the Chinese lunar calendar, which isn't July 7th, but they made it easy for us). So it's really cool to read the lyrics with that story in mind! Dreamcatcher's versatility is so awesome. I literally have to have two separate playlists for them because like, there's the rock side, but then there's all these gorgeous b-side ballads and R&B-type tracks. I love the bass line in And There Was No One Left. But also the music video always seems sliiiightly creepy to me... ^^; It's all the staring. Siyeon and Jiu definitely know something we don't. Dami's b-side vocals really are something else, tho. If you really want to have your mind blown by her range, listen to how deep her rap part is in Diamond and then listen to her high notes on the slow version of Shadow (and watch the lyric video, or you might not realize it's her singing!). As for Handong, she also definitely gets larger parts on the b-sides, but it seems like she's also been featured more in the title tracks since she came back from China last year! I think both her skill and confidence have grown a lot and we'll keep seeing more of her. If you really want to dive into her vocals more, honestly her best stuff isn't Dreamcatcher-related. She's got a Chinese solo called First Light of Dawn and had a really cool performance with a group on Youth With You called Ambush on all Sides.
ii did watch ywy2! lol i am big fan of the9 ambush on all sides is the song ^ but i must have not noticed Handong because i was immersed with Yuyan, Kiki, & Snow Kong lol but i will have to go back and check it out! thank you so much
