I have tried this tutorial 3 times. I cannot get the same results after 'diamond pattern'. I'm not sure why I can't match the same wires after diamond pattern. Mine are just solid thick wires. Yours are open(parallel line) wires. This seems to be a major problem for me because it disrupts the entire connections. Do you happen to know what I can do to fix this?

You can fix that from first box by pressing shift to the second box. Your line will be dashed line . You will be able to match the 2 lline same tool.

You can use and Hold the Shift key while trying to connect multiple components into single input.
