I always thought that YSL Black opium doesn't last long on me because the smells fade after an hour but when people around me always ask me "what is your perfume?, You smell so good!" I realized that it's only me who can't smell it. 😂😂😂

Black opium doesn’t last on my skin either, so i spray it on my clothes instead. For the viva la juicy part, yeah that shit smells amazing but lasts like a fart in the wind.

Kathleen....I used to have the same problem with JC Sucre fading fast....till I tried this trick. Rub a little vaseline or oil on your pulse points, then the perfume on top. Now I get 8hrs from it :)

I totally agree on the mademoiselle review.. I wear it daily (not to smell “fancy” but I love the smell and I don’t have to use much for it) and it lasts DAYS. It literally lasts so long, and the longer you wear it the better it smells in my opinion. I apply in the morning and by the end of the day it smells sweeter than in the morning. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that wants to splurge on a high quality fragrance!
I love Coco Mademoiselle, too❤️. It’s been in my daily rotation for YEARS (probably longer than most Kathleen Lights fans have been alive..😭😂🤣). I don’t wear it only on special occasions.....I wear it daily..😁
Grace Stevenson if you go to walmart, they have these knock off body sprays, they have 2 caps, with floral designs on the stickers, it comes with a lot of product.. i own the bombshell victorias secret knock off one, they have poppy by coach knock off, that spray smells so good, lasts forever, and costs like $6/7.
Pink Sugar does last for a really long time! Weirdly for me when I use it I start the day smelling flowery-sweetvanilla, middle of the day almost chocolately and warm-ish and at the end of the day like a bakery (if it's a really hot day I end up even with a hint of pistachios or a nutsy scent). I really like the perfumes that smell good even if they change a little after some hours.
I make my own for myself and with a few essentials, it’s pretty easy. The hardest part is trying to come up with the scent in your head but I just made a beachy scent (but not like sunscreen) and it turned out better than I expected. I wear it all the time and love it. Anyways, all that to say, yes!!! She should make her own and if she nails a scent she loves, take to a company that makes perfumes and I’m sure she could sell tons of it!
You are the only person to mention Cerrutti 1881 …this scent is my mom’s signature for decades. I couldn’t find it anywhere for years until recently and she was so happy when I gave it to her . Hilarious that you wore it in middle school, because that’s a sophisticated and glamorous scent.
There is a scent called Choco Musk that's available in my store that has a strong vanilla scent even though it's supposed to be more chocolaty. a trick to make them last longer, rub a small amount of vaseline on your pulse points and spray your perfume on top of them. That used to happen to me where it didn't last and now it last forever!!! I've literally have rubbed off my perfume on people and still smelled like it the next day!! Try it and see if that helps with the bottom 5 perfumes, hopefully that helps!

Kathleen.....top tip to keep your perfumes good, you need to store them in a cool dark drawer/cupboard this will keep them good, it is only when they are on display and come in contact with the sunlight that they go off as the bottle heats up and cools down effectively "cooking" what's inside.....so if you want to keep them for a long time....put them away. I have bottles still in their boxes 5 years and they are like new.....P.s. have you ever tried Angel by Thierry Mulger?? I think you would like it.....xPx
I have YSL Black Opium and it's one of my favorite perfumes as well, but it doesn't last on me either. Same with Dior Absolutely Blooming. One of my favorite scents but doesn't last at all. I like the Elizabeth and James perfumes. They last quite a while on me and smell really nice.

lol Black Opium is my all time favorite and I love the fact that it lasts so long on me. I can put in on in the morning, and the next morning I still smell like it. Funny how perfumes work differently on people! Sad it does not last on you because it really is a gorgeous scent.
We're on opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to perfume: I prefer more deep, "masculine" scents and tend to lean towards niche perfume houses. But I love fragrance so frikkin much, that I still appreciate these videos a whole lot, so please, keep doing them ;) Top 2: Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille (although TF perfumes in general last a long time), L'Occitane Eau des Baux (affordable but top quality). Bottom: Jo Malone colognes in general, and Wood Sage and Sea Salt in particular, don't last very long. On one hand, it's understandable because they're in a cologne concentration. On the other, it's a shame because they smell nice and they are quite expensive for having such a poor performance.
PlugInKali I'm the same! The second she said sugary and sweet I was like "oh no...." I prefer masculine perfumes to the point where I have bought stuff that is more "male" oriented I like Commodity - Wool. Very woodsy, earthy, (but doesn't smell like straight pinesol) and its crisp and it has a slightly sweet bourbon vanilla finish that doesn't smell like candy. I also love Maison Margiela - their beach day fragrance is wonderful. Also, Dancing on the Moon. Sweet but with a sort of masculine edge.
Same for me, on paper it stayed longer. I was super disappointed. It smells ok, not like best smells but nice, but won't stay more than 15 minutes or something.
I just smelled it today...it gave me butterflies! I thought it was top 3 in fragrances for women in my opinion...but I don't know the long gevity of it..
It depends on your body's pH what a perfume smells like on you AND how long it will last on you. Now you can rub a very small amount of petroleum jelly (vaseline) onto your pulse points before spraying your perfume to make it last longer.
Sheila Bryant I use an un-scented lotion, rub it in mostly, spray the perfume and then rub the lotion in the rest of the way... the lotion melts the fragrance into my skin and I don't feel greasy after.
byKateB yes, same concept. The petroleum jelly is hypoallergenic and holds the fragrance longer than unscented lotions but either way, it gets the job done. My favorite fall/winter scent comes with a coordinating lotion in the holiday gift box; so I use that too. 😉
I love how perfume scents bring you back! Viva la juicy is probably my all time fave, it lasts on me and brings me back to freshman year of college. My other fave is flowerbomb.. I've only had sample sizes but I'm tryna buy it soon! I also love coco mademoiselle & Taylor Swift wonderstruck
I can take a shower in pure flowerbomb and by 15 min it will be completely GONE, which is a bummer because it's so expensive. La Vie Est Belle intense on the other hand, not only does it smells like pure heaven but it will last thru WWIII.
Versace Bright Crystal Absolu is the most long wearing perfume ever. I swear , perfumes just don't last on my skin. I'm naturally oily , I also live in Vegas where it's dry and hot and I get sweaty in .5 seconds lol. But that perfume can last for the moment I wake up , throughout the hottest day of the year, and still be there the next morning. On multiple occasions I've wore it from the early morning, throughout the hottest day, took a shower, and woke up the next morning still able to smell it. It's unbelievable
xisobelx373 It's a beautiful mature but still every day scent. It's nowhere near as floral scented as Marc Jacobs Daisy , not as sweet either. It's sweet but more of a mature sweet (sorry if this is confusing , it's so hard to explain scents lol). However, I do believe Marc Jacobs Daisy is less expensive than Versace Bright Crystal Absolu. It's $120 unfortunately 😣

Me too, I've been wearing Viva La Juicy since middle school. I'm almost 24 now and I know there's so many amazing perfumes but I just can't seem to ever venture out to any other perfume because I'm just so obsessed with Viva La Juicy. I hope they never discontinue because that would break my heart.
Fun frag. tip, if you apply a bit of scented or non-scented lotion where you are going to spray the perfume it will help it last longer through out the day! Just spray the perfume before the lotion completely dries down, while its still a little sticky.

To make a perfume last longer, dot some beauty oil where you would normally dot or spray your perfume and sort of mix the perfume in slightly. The oil will keep the perfume from evaporating into the air too quickly or from absorbing into the skin too fast too. I know you have very dry skin and that is probably a big part of the issue. Hope this helps! :)

I'm a Viva la Juicy girl, and it works amazingly with my chemistry. It lasts ALL DAY for me!! I put it on in the morning, and after a long, busy, very physical day at work, I still get compliments at the end of the day.
So believe it or not I was actually born without a sense of smell! I typically don’t wear perfumes for that reason but watching these videos makes me want to get some and just have my mom or someone tell me what they think! Haha!

Pink Sugar does last for a really long time! Weirdly for me when I use it I start the day smelling flowery-sweetvanilla, middle of the day almost chocolately and warm-ish and at the end of the day like a bakery (if it's a really hot day I end up even with a hint of pistachios or a nutsy scent). I really like the perfumes that smell good even if they change a little after some hours.

I make my own for myself and with a few essentials, it’s pretty easy. The hardest part is trying to come up with the scent in your head but I just made a beachy scent (but not like sunscreen) and it turned out better than I expected. I wear it all the time and love it. Anyways, all that to say, yes!!! She should make her own and if she nails a scent she loves, take to a company that makes perfumes and I’m sure she could sell tons of it!
You are the only person to mention Cerrutti 1881 …this scent is my mom’s signature for decades. I couldn’t find it anywhere for years until recently and she was so happy when I gave it to her . Hilarious that you wore it in middle school, because that’s a sophisticated and glamorous scent.

a trick to make them last longer, rub a small amount of vaseline on your pulse points and spray your perfume on top of them. That used to happen to me where it didn't last and now it last forever!!! I've literally have rubbed off my perfume on people and still smelled like it the next day!! Try it and see if that helps with the bottom 5 perfumes, hopefully that helps!

Kathleen.....top tip to keep your perfumes good, you need to store them in a cool dark drawer/cupboard this will keep them good, it is only when they are on display and come in contact with the sunlight that they go off as the bottle heats up and cools down effectively "cooking" what's inside.....so if you want to keep them for a long time....put them away. I have bottles still in their boxes 5 years and they are like new.....P.s. have you ever tried Angel by Thierry Mulger?? I think you would like it.....xPx

I have YSL Black Opium and it's one of my favorite perfumes as well, but it doesn't last on me either. Same with Dior Absolutely Blooming. One of my favorite scents but doesn't last at all. I like the Elizabeth and James perfumes. They last quite a while on me and smell really nice.

We're on opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to perfume: I prefer more deep, "masculine" scents and tend to lean towards niche perfume houses. But I love fragrance so frikkin much, that I still appreciate these videos a whole lot, so please, keep doing them ;) Top 2: Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille (although TF perfumes in general last a long time), L'Occitane Eau des Baux (affordable but top quality). Bottom: Jo Malone colognes in general, and Wood Sage and Sea Salt in particular, don't last very long. On one hand, it's understandable because they're in a cologne concentration. On the other, it's a shame because they smell nice and they are quite expensive for having such a poor performance.

I like Commodity - Wool. Very woodsy, earthy, (but doesn't smell like straight pinesol) and its crisp and it has a slightly sweet bourbon vanilla finish that doesn't smell like candy.
I also love Maison Margiela - their beach day fragrance is wonderful. Also, Dancing on the Moon. Sweet but with a sort of masculine edge.
Try Cedar Atlas by Artelier Cologne! It’s AMAZING, only sold at Sephora tho

It depends on your body's pH what a perfume smells like on you AND how long it will last on you. Now you can rub a very small amount of petroleum jelly (vaseline) onto your pulse points before spraying your perfume to make it last longer.
Sheila Bryant I use an un-scented lotion, rub it in mostly, spray the perfume and then rub the lotion in the rest of the way... the lotion melts the fragrance into my skin and I don't feel greasy after.
byKateB yes, same concept. The petroleum jelly is hypoallergenic and holds the fragrance longer than unscented lotions but either way, it gets the job done.
My favorite fall/winter scent comes with a coordinating lotion in the holiday gift box; so I use that too. 😉

Versace Bright Crystal Absolu is the most long wearing perfume ever. I swear , perfumes just don't last on my skin. I'm naturally oily , I also live in Vegas where it's dry and hot and I get sweaty in .5 seconds lol. But that perfume can last for the moment I wake up , throughout the hottest day of the year, and still be there the next morning. On multiple occasions I've wore it from the early morning, throughout the hottest day, took a shower, and woke up the next morning still able to smell it. It's unbelievable

It's $120 unfortunately 😣

Fun frag. tip, if you apply a bit of scented or non-scented lotion where you are going to spray the perfume it will help it last longer through out the day! Just spray the perfume before the lotion completely dries down, while its still a little sticky.

Coco Mademoiselle is my all time favorite! I remember moving to Mexico two years ago it was on sale in the Mexico City Airport the 3.4oz for 92USD so my dad bought it for me as my parting gift
To make a perfume last longer, dot some beauty oil where you would normally dot or spray your perfume and sort of mix the perfume in slightly. The oil will keep the perfume from evaporating into the air too quickly or from absorbing into the skin too fast too. I know you have very dry skin and that is probably a big part of the issue. Hope this helps! :)

I'm a Viva la Juicy girl, and it works amazingly with my chemistry. It lasts ALL DAY for me!! I put it on in the morning, and after a long, busy, very physical day at work, I still get compliments at the end of the day.
So believe it or not I was actually born without a sense of smell! I typically don’t wear perfumes for that reason but watching these videos makes me want to get some and just have my mom or someone tell me what they think! Haha!

I agree. I have Daisy too, but what kills it for me is how generic it is. It is the only fragrance that I have recognized on a countless number of people.
Maybe put on vaseline first on your skin and then the perfume? I've heard that makes the scent last longer.
