Driving the knight rider car for the first time
From the day I picked Kitt up to Kitts first car show. Sit back and enjoy. it's been a journey to say the least! This Knight rider replica started out as a 1982 trans am. Full ground up restoration . This is not the Fast and Loud knight rider car.
This man is the real legend to knight rider. He is the only man in this world who built an exact replica of the real deal compare to all the other knight rider jokers wanna be who build their kitt to their custom specs. Chris blasius derserves the recognition in the knight rider world. You have my highest respect! I can’t stress enough how incredible you have done to your car. Wilton knight would be so proud of you.

Thanks to my dad, in 2016 when I was 7, he showed me Knight Rider, Herbie the Love Bug, The Dukes of Hazzard, all of the 80s.

First perfect replica I ever seen!!!
First time I see the correct scanner effect and the red is so spot on!!! Usually they are orange ,pinkish or almost white because too bright.

That is great! It took me three weeks to find the time to swap out the upper door panel rails so a full restoration like that would take me about 25 years.

My name is Chris and saw the show when it was new. I was 4-8 when it started and ended. This car WAS my childhood! It never left me either, I’d watch the re runs and tape them off the tv to watch again EVERY SINGLE DAY! Not even slightly exaggerating. I did the same with the knight rider movie “Knight Rider 2000” I was hoping they’d use the same format for the 2008 relaunch. That show was such a let down, awful dialogue, awful acting, unbelievable equipment (turns into a F-150). The cast was beyond ridiculous, all these side stories for nothing. It felt like the studio approved it if you could take a typical show and add a talking car that was indestructible and for some reason couldn’t do easy things that it could in 1982. The relaunch first made me not want to watch when a cop was hiding on the side of the road running radar, kitt didn’t see him there, and said “He was well hidden” really? I have to say that was the first instance that I thought to myself this is awful, completely unbelievable, and will be short lived. I really can’t believe they did such an awful job, really killed the franchise. They needed to make it the American James Bond. I could’ve done much better if given the chance to.

That is so amazing! I got to meet David Hasselhoff and take photos with him and my Kitt alternative replica. I say alternative because I use a Camaro instead... you can check it out on my page under Knight Rider: The Mission, a video I did for my film School the assignment was to tell a story with little to no dialogue. I don't get why he's getting so much fame. There has been many Kitt replicas built as good or even better. There's a big Kitt convention in Las Vegas every year with Kitts from all over the country show up. Even Karr shows up
Well there hasn’t been anyone yet that took it as far as I did I guess. I mean, I get ripped apart by other knight Rider builders all the time that I was crazy to spend the money I did on Goodyear Eagle gts tires, the say Bridgestone are close enough... well if you are striving for screen accuracy, close enough isn’t good enough. From every replica I’ve ever scene, they went “ oh that’s close enough” close enough wasn’t good enough for me. I mean I built the whole car from 82 nos parts, the whole car is brand new. Pretty sure that hasn’t been done before. Anywho, thanks for watching
