GOD "meant to be yours" is the highlight of the whole damn show. I would seriously suggest hunting down the bootleg of Heathers for the full experience of how this plays out onstage, it's HEARTSTOPPING.

This is actually the note JD read, and we plans to just remove the first page and replace it with the mass suicide note, keeping all the signatures
I am OBSESSED with the instrumentation in “Meant To Be Yours” and how it directly relates to JD’s mental state and his delusions. He genuinely believes he’s doing something heroic by destroying the school and unaliving his classmates, and as such, the second chorus in the song takes on a sort of “Heroic Aria” sound with the trumpets and brass. And I just love it so much!!!

"Meant to be yours" shows rapid, senceless thoughts so well. Anger, dellusion, hope and hopelessness all in one Song. Yes, she tricked him, she was hanging on a Vest under her clothes. JD continuing his Plans without her shows that Veronika was never the reason for his mental Eskalation, it would have happend eventually.
There's something about JD's "but but but" that really just scratch an itch somewhere deep in my brain. ALSO Yo Girl is just chef kiss. These are my two favorite songs in the show.
It's a phenomenal musical. Lots of clever nods to the original movie as well -- which I would recommend. I wouldn't worry about it not making a great deal of sense (things like how gullible the adults are), because it was all a bone-dry satire of 80s teen movies, which isn't always obvious decades later. This scene, especially the interaction with Veronica and her Mum, is one of the changes they make, to make it more realistic, and its interesting to see how different productions depict it.
I like to call this song: the reason I’m attracted to red flags!!!! I’d sing this song everyday in middle school (most heather songs rlly) and my family was so worried 😅

In the original movie, the characters first attend Heather C’s funeral earlier in the film. Later on, Veronica has a dream she’s at a funeral and she encounters the ghost of Heather. That word is something the priest says during the sermon at the dream funeral.
Next one is the song that brought me from "I'm really enjoying this musical" to "Ok that's it I'm sold this is my favorite musical" 😂 to this day it's still up there
I searched out a community theater production on TH-cam after my kids started singing the songs. I'll be darned if they are going to sing songs from shows I haven't seen. Sweeny Todd and Hadestown are still above it but I would put Heathers in my top ten.
there’s another ‘yo girl’ animatic by the same artist who made the shine a light reprise animatic you reacted to before , which is really good in its creepy visuals with JD . i recommend watching it too just for the animatic !!

Casper i have a genuine question about the offensive E word! there are coats in America that have big fluff that are called that there are also pigeons that have that big fluffy head! Is that ok to use because it’s not referring to the group of people or is it like the N word where everyone knows what word your referring to but your not allowed to say it because of it absolutely awful connotations? just trying to gauge how bad the word is because i understand the g word is the same for the Romani but many belly dancers are called g and it has developed a new context.
