1. No, sponsorship application is required.
2. Automatic Citizenship for 1 generation only for children born from Canadians IN CANADA. If you child is born outside of Canada, they need to apply for it.

You can apply for a sponsorship if your children meet both of these requirements:
- they’re under 22 years old
- they don’t have a spouse or common law partner
If they are over 22 years old, you can only sponsor them if they are unable to financially support themselves because of a mental or physical condition PLUS they have depended on their parents for financial support since before the age of 22.
