@@trashy14epicgamer90 those are freaking epic 2 strokes. I put an 80cc motor like they have on my pedal bicycle XD. you dont even need a license to ride a motorized bicycle. Those engines are a bit weak but they are a lot of fun. I max out at 32 mph
For this 12 year old kid in 1979 , moped = complete freedom. I never rode in a car to a Dr. appointment or out to eat with the family or to sports practice after I got my moped. I wore my complete football uniform riding my moped to a game. It was like I was 30 years old riding a Harley that took .50cents to fill gas tank and I could ride for days. Got a car @ 15. Moped parked.

If they had smartphones with Google maps back then, I would’ve been gone the entire summer. They have the option to show routes planned where bicycles and hikers could go. I would’ve went from PA to Florida on secondary roads for less than $15 in gas/oil mix. You’re right tho’ got my license and a car and the moped was parked in the shed. 30 years later I revived it. Stuck a child seat on the back and my little girl and me had the best times on it. Now we ride a Honda Ruckus and she has a Honda metropolitan. We’ve put 3,000 miles on them. She has a car and in the Coast Guard, but there’s something so cool about going 40+ mph with a tiny 50cc , getting about 120 miles per gallon of gas. These are reliable water cooled 4 strokes. We plan on taking a very long tour on them soon. I know, I write too much. You just reminded me of my youth with your comment. Great days they were.

Reminds me my teenage years. I had more fun riding offroad with antique Motobecane "Mobylette" (I am french) that I ever had later with "real" motorcycle. We were racing with other guys on underpowered crap moped, bending frames and forks by trying to do jumps as the US supercross stars of that time... Speed and power us not everything.
