oh my god I completely get the sleeping thing, I from the countryside & when I lived there all the time I used to always fall asleep listening to music or something because it was just FAR too quiet for me & my mind used to terrify me by making me believe someone was in the house or in my room & about to kill me or something. Now I live in Dublin for College & I sleep perfectly because of the noise of the city, I love hearing the traffic & people walking by on the streets & stuff it makes me so relaxed. Funny how that works out!
Also Very excited about your Vlogmas it's always my favourite to watch, I'm thinking of doing it myself this year like maybe a weekly one but i'm not sure because college is crazy busy.

When I was really young, I used to listen to tapes to fall asleep. As I got into my teens, though, I liked it to be completely quiet! My boyfriend has always had to have a fan on in his room to fall asleep, and since we moved in together about a year and a half ago, he's converted me into a fan sleeper! Now I find it difficult to sleep if its too quiet. So I've been both of those people! Noise and no noise :)

Oh, you are so right! I never thought about it before but I always listened to tapes when I was a kid! And now I find it so relaxing to listen to youtube videos at night. Perfect are the ones that I have watched billion times before :) then my brain can really shut down.

When I go to bed I can’t listen to a podcast or tv or anything like that because then I will just think about it and not go to sleep, but I find it helpful to listen to something like white noise

So glad you brought that up. I HAVE to have something on when I fall asleep! Ever since I got anxiety actually. It calms me and makes me not get into my own head at night in the dark etc. Its a calming and very happy feeling- I am also always putting something on that's festive/jollly/happy or an animation! It sort of takes a step back from reality and just puts you in a calm place that feels like you're surrounding by something whimsical. Silence is a no no

I like it more when I go to sleep while the TV is on because it also helps me to focus and relax my mind to help me sleep instead of not having any kind of sound around me because it would also lead me to think about some things that I didn’t want to think about.

When ever i do puzzles I always do the outside edges first and when i go to sleep i sleep in silence but my mind wanders for about 30 min. When i go to sleep with my sleep sounds on my mind doesnt wander as much. So basically i can sleep both ways but one lets me fall asleep faster. P.S Im so excited for vlogmas

I'm actually the same way when it comes to bed. I fall asleep with a movie on because it's how I grew up and when friends stay over and they want the TV off I'm like instant overdrive.
Always fall asleep to something! In November & December i fall asleep to national lampoons christmas vacation. Other months i sleep to the office or king of queens. If it’s silent i hear too many of the little noises of the night & get scared 😂

I think I now know where I get my obsession for Christmas from haha :) I feel the same way Zoe! I have to listen to something before bed. i was able to stop it for a while over the summer but then I started listening to stuff again. I think for me it's like those are noises that I'm used to so it'll block out any random noises in the middle of the night that could wake me up...IDK if that makes any sense but I'm totally with you on that!

I grew up with a dad who played symphonic rock 24/7, especially in the evening, and I would always fall asleep on the couch and get carried to bed, so now rock music is what makes me calm and sleepy. :D
