I liked that this felt like an old-school SEC game. That was a good experience for Tennessee because not every game can be high-scoring gloss. And it was an accurate introduction to the SEC for the Sooners, too. It's cool having Oklahoma be a part of the south now. 😂
looked like Tennessee made a decision to keep it simple after the last turnover they had because they felt the defense would do enough to hold on to the lead. About as conservative as I’ve ever seen them play.
@@joshuahawley2073 got a couple more games to worry about before they even remotely start looking about Alabama so I doubt that’s it. Think injury concerns with the field was a real thing though. Honestly the field conditions was grossly unacceptable because it being that way was 100% man manufactured considering the weather there hasn’t been anywhere near enough for it to be that bad.
@@jamesbradford7888 idk if any of the games before Bama are tobworry about. We should prepare for them and take care of business. Bama and Georgia are games to worry about.
The SEC has alot of teams with really good defenses this year. Georgia, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Tennessee, South Carolina all have some strong fronts on the defensive side. Looks alot like old school SEC football right now and I love it. I think the SEC is about as wide open as it's been since pre Saban, and there will be Alot of chaos in the coming weeks. There will be a team or two beat some teams that will make alot of folks scratch their heads. Tennessee and Texas look like the best two teams right now, but that is gonna change in the next 3-4 weeks.
@@jessesewell7922 I said in the preseason that UGA has 3 of their most physical matchups in their first four weeks. Clemson, Kentucky and Alabama. I think their offense is fine, they just have played against two really good defenses in Clemson and Kentucky so far. No they don't have Brock Bowers, who IMO should have won the Heisman while at Georgia, but I do think they will be fine. It's gonna be interesting to see what they do at Alabama. If they lose at Alabama, I think that could set a fire that could lead them all the way to the national championship game.
Anderson left in the first quarter and Burks got banged up and had 1 play in the second half. We're out our top projected 5 receivers. Got nothing got the line though. That continues to baffle.
Tennessee’s defense will carry them and allow time for Nico to get experience and grow. You’ll see a much more polished quarterback at the end of the season with Nico.
You make wonderful videos! 👏 I have a quick question: 🤷♂️ I have a set of words 🤷♂️. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). Can someone explain what this is? 😅
The reactionary’s on the Vols sub were losing their minds, I just saw no reason to get any of our guys hurt. Our defense had it on lock- Josh knew that and I agree with the decision
Tennessee couldn’t run the ball against a light box, but it was the fault of the field that Heupel went conservative. Yeah I bet. Heupel was conservative because he’s a good coach and knew that throwing the ball downfield into coverage with a freshman QB that’s getting a lot of pressure was a bigger threat to defeat you than OU’s offense. Why is it so hard to give a great defense credit, and be happy you beat a good team on the road? Could it be because you were out there saying you were gonna roll OU by 40-50 and now gotta save face?
There's nothing Tennessee has to save face about lol. That was a complete domination. Final score wasn't even indictive by how bad of a domination that was truly. Tennessee went into prevent with 9 minutes left to go which they shouldn't have. Tennessee proved that their defense can win them a game just as much as their offense which makes them really more of a threat. Not less of one.
You want to go look and see how many yards rushing the vols got I just looked it’s close to 200 they didn’t get their normal yards but they still did fine on the ground
donovan says we are worse than last year lmfao wow dude hasnt watched shit then. we were way worse than last year arkansas offensive line was so bad it wasnt funny. we were blown out at home against auburn. our ypg were way lowere last year noone could come together all year long this arkansas team could be a big time dark horse this year just saying they have alot of extremely talented players

Tennessee’s defense didn’t dominate OU anymore than the first three teams on OUs schedule. Jackson Arnold was Tennessee’s best player tonight. The Tennessee offense was exposed as being nowhere near the best offense in the country. The Tennessee defense didn’t fair well against Hawkins, who outscored Tennessee in the second half. Tennessee is fortunate that kid didn’t start.
Lol wow so tell me you didn’t watch the without telling me you didn’t watch it such a bad take vols beat y’all at home and covered the spread Sooners got whooped admit it and worry about what you will do next yr

I wonder if there was also a desire to keep some of the playback a mystery, to pull out against Bama

That field looked like an abandoned homes yard
Look at Georgia's schedule this year: #1 Texas, #4 Bama, #5 Ole Miss, #6 Tenn. F'ing MURDERER'S ROW. Go Vols. 🍊🧡
Seemed like OU field was awful. Seems like they were trying to keep players from getting hurt.
all it did was get their own player hurt from what I saw
Rocket has an ankle sprain. Apparently it was serious enough they had him in a boot on the sideline. Backups came in and performed well

GAs offense has yet to really get rolling and the D is very good but does not look as good as previous years

Mizzou! Whew! But love my Mizzou❤
Mizz looks very beatable. Missing their stellar running back in a big way as well as several defensive studs
Top right guy way louder than Chris and Blake

TN did hold Nico and all the offense back. Two reasons. TN missing 3 starter O-line guys and a crap field that would get a player hurt.
The reactionary’s on the Vols sub were losing their minds, I just saw no reason to get any of our guys hurt. Our defense had it on lock- Josh knew that and I agree with the decision
Yeah, could’ve put up way more points. So conservative on offense. Extremely impressive defensive performance
Tn didn’t even have to throw the ball downfield to beat these scrubs even when they had a shit field and bs calls by the refs.
I’m hoping KY gives Ole Miss fits. MS hasn’t played anybody so Kentucky gets to break them into SEC play before they go to Williams Brice
That's totally crap you all don't give Tennessee for any of there victory's

Taylen Greeb for Arkansas is very meh. Only reason we survive is because he can escape pressure
Play calling was too conservative
I'm happy! 25yr Veteran VFL!!!!
Just win baby. We were never blowing out a solid Choklahoma defense
I like that Heupel remembered what conference he's in. The glossy stuff is fun, and it wins. I'm not knocking it, but THIS was real SEC football.
Tennessee moved to solid #2 in country imo, lot of games left, but based on what we have seen on the field they have been as good as anyone.

Tennessee isn't that good. They won't hold up against Alabama or Georgia. Probably the most delusional fan base.
SEEMED LIKE THEY HELD NICO BACK
Freshman has alot to learn but room to improve.
Heupel can thank his defense, right after he apologizes to his offensive team. He quit on them.
