What breaks my heart is how in a documentary Brian said how Freddie was given the final verse, but was feeling ill and said he would come back after resting and finish recording it. But he never came back

Because after he left, he was literally bedridden. If he wanted to get somewhere, Jim had to carry him. To all the people saying that Freddie died before this was finished, this was finished like 3 months before he died. Brian sang the last verse because Freddie couldn’t make it back to the studio.

I was 17 when he passed and feel like I didn't appreciate his music to the extent that I now do. Radio Ga-ga was my go to as a teeny bopper. As an adult I've leaned towards the ballads. Why do the good die young?

"Mother Love" was the final song co-written by Mercury and May, and was also Mercury's last ever vocal performance. Mercury's vocals for Mother Love were recorded between 13-16 May 1991. On his website, May discussed the writing process he and Mercury had (writing both separately and together, and conscious of the nature of the song and the lyrics). Upon reaching the final verse, Freddie told May that he had to go and "have a rest", but that he would return later and finish it. After that, Freddie never made it back to the studio, and thus May sang the last verse on the track.

The Innuendo album which The Show Must Go On is from came out couple months before he recorded Mother Love. Someone random That’s a victim-blaming, hindsight-driven mindset. Firstly, trusted sources (Peter Freestone, among others) state that Freddie never injected drugs, removing that transmission method. Secondly, any sort of knowledge about HIV’s transmission methods wasn’t determined or released until long after he contracted the virus. For most of the 70s and part of the 80s it was named GRID and described as “gay cancer”, and attributed to moral punishment instead of an actual infectious pathogen. Just because he didn’t know any better when a young man exploring his sexuality doesn’t mean he deserved HIV/AIDS, or that the fault was solely upon the people who contracted the disease. Put yourself in his shoes instead of being so quick to judge. Blame the raw monkey-eaters of the 1920s who caused the virus to jump to humans.

He knew his fate perhaps a decade before he died yet still pushed forward with the quiet knowledge of his own mortality lurking in his mind. Having to know that a fellow bandmate was sick would be bad enough, but knowing that he had AIDS, which was a death sentence back then, would be torture.

    1:49,
    Imagine...when hearing those lyrics...
Your standing in a city in ruins, everyone amd everything is dead, except you...
You trudge through the knee deep snow, bearing the burden of the wintery hell surrounding you...
The frosty air hardens your lungs and makes you feel empty from within...
Your skin on your face is black with frostbite...
Yet despite all you've been through , you feel nothing, nor ask God for any pity or sympathy...
All you want is a warm safe place to hide away from the chilling reality of the world around you, that decays you from within...
You continue, not knowing what the future has in store for you, remembering those who you once knew...
Tears try to fall from your blank and glassy eyes...
But they always turn to ice and make your gaunt cheeks burn...
Your body and heart stings to no avail as the winds relentlessly batter you like ocean waters on a beachfront...
Your inner temple crumbles, but refuses to fall, despite the pain...
    You continue...
knowing your end will come soon.
1 like plz if you like this passage.

This song is a true goodbye song from freddie. God bless brian may for finishing the song that he and mercury had started together. So eerie to think that the sicker freddie got, the more he needs to record music and vocals. Literally the last albums he recorded with the band from the miracle to this album were his masterpieces. Although he didn't had any real influences on the made in heaven album since they recorded the rest of the songs through freddie's vocal takes that he had done and they worked around those vocals, adding their bits to the song. All i can say is thank you Mr. Freddie Mercury for giving us these wonderful songs that you and the rest of the band worked so hard to create for us to listen to and enjoy out of. And I want to say thank you to Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon for their commitment to the band and to be able to stick right by freddie's side to the very end. Thank you Queen and Queen Forever...

This song is absolutely melting and touching, full of meanings. Everytime I hear it, reading its words, a huge feeling of melancholy comes over me and I regret to have not been one of his followers when he was alive. At the same time, I can only imagine the emptiness left in those who lived around him when he passed away. I'm thinking of Brian May and of his depression, for example........ Freddie's Death pushed everybody to review their own lives, finding another reason for living..... It hasn't been easy...... at all....

superskiier50 Why do you thing that? I personally have the perception from what I have learned about the church and God, that he is a completely different person from what we have learned. In fact, our view of him has also changed through the years.
My personal believe is, and I know I'm going to get a lot of comments on this is (everybody who wants to talk with me about it, feel free to contact :) ), God doesn't look at much you go to church, ore that you pray before you eat, our you don't have a TV because it isn't good according to people from the church.
He cares about you when you try to help not yourself, but also other people. He loves to see that we help each other, instead of just our self. And I'm sure that he admired Freddie, although he might have done some less smarter thing, God still cares about him.

      ***** Leviticus.

    • @bvanleeuwen254
      @bvanleeuwen254 9 ปีที่แล้ว

superskiier50 I know about Leviticus, and I have heard it multiple times in church before.
But I have stepped away from it completely, next year it will be 10 years ago since my mom divorced my dad because she loves woman. And since that time, I have stepped away from the church completely how people reacted especially to her. But also to my dad, myself and my sister.
People who used to be our friends stopped talking to use completely, when we come a cross them on the road, they look at us as if we are some radio active cloud walking by.
I don't know the english word for them, sorry, but the people from the church who come to you if you have any questions regarding the church even went as far to say: Yeah, you shut have stayed with your husband, and make him happy and don't care about your self.
And that was just on of the more nicer things they said, the only things they said where utter BS, nothing more. After some time I have enough, since they even want to far to say that my mom, with here love for loving women, would probably have poisoned myself and my sister with it. At that point I had enough and I said, you can leave now in a nice manner, ore you get kicked out of the house right know. They where utterly shocked by my response, and said I was a bad person bla bla bla. I said, no, I'm not a bad person. In fact, all my colleagues etc love the way I'm, and I never show any violent behaviour. But you, from this church, bring every bad side of my personality into working. Since that time I have lived with God in my own way, and even if God doesn't approve it. I'm sure he will respect it.
To make it even worse, and lot of the people I know from church don't have any TV, because it contains the devil and much more. But the fun fact is, they have all the seasons of ER, Bones, Castle name all those series, in there PC closet which the close and lock the doors of when people come who don't need to see it.

+Bob van Leeuwen do not hang out with this kind of Christians as they always try to find fault in your past and use them against you, Jesus Christ never looked at one's past in a negative way and despise anyone, he gave everyone a future and that is what matters
Do not be disheartened by these type of Christians you were talking about as they are not spiritual and no one is allowed to judge someone else in Christianity, a Christian is meant to grow and learn and become more like Jesus.
Watching television is not a problem but as long as that Christian does spend time on television more than God. If the person sells away tv just because he or she is scared about turning away from God it means she does not have self-control( a fruit of the spirit)
I hope you read this carefully and understand that Jesus Christ every single one of us but Gay/Lesbian marriage is not allowed because we are not making God happy(read the Bible to be lead in life), and if the past your parent did not know of this and have done it...remember that is ok and God will give you a better future but do not repeat the same mistake (pls tell your parent about this)
i hope you are having a blessed day and that you will not be deceived and have a bad impression of Christianity ( the true life and road to heaven but just that majority of the Christians do not follow it but follow the corruption of the world)

These is the most saddest song ive heard and the other farewell Video song- "These are the days of our lives" w/c I thought Freddies moment. Mesmerizing the past, hes hope, yet at the end of it all he wants to give back all the glory and gratefulness to one and only- to our God the Creator.. looking up in the sky by saying - "I Still love You" was one of the most spritual Act of goodbye song that was always be remembered. He truly expresses his own sorrow, pain and a love & affection for his Mother and how grateful he was to our God- till hes last days of his life.Farookh Bulsara your still are a twinkling Star in heaven, God only knows what is in your heart. We still misses you, thnk U for ur tremendous talent in Music- Surrel! 4ever you will be loved, the Great Freddie Mercury!

he was an enigma...small in stature, but a stallion on stage...flamboyant in performance but shy in life.....and he loved and was loyal....

Now I know why I waited over a year to listen to this song. I knew it was going to be difficult and sad, but not like this. It just makes me so angry that someone who loved life like he did would have to suffer like he did. He was always a very prideful man when it came to his looks, and for his identity to just be carved away slowly to nothing has to be just tortures. Yet Freddie never let it show.
