Thai cookers are using MSG as standard ingredients,
As I do not like MSG there is a very good substitute made from potato my wife uses.
Pad Thai like noodles. No Tamarind, the most essential ingredient. Also msg is perfectly fine and safe.

Monosodium glutamate (MSG) hes been allready used in asian kitchen 1500 Jears ago, just like Natriumchloride (Nacl) (salt). So, you funny people, you don´t have to eat it!
