Hi Tim, it was nice to see a little smile as you were coming into land. Nice job on the trimmer, it's always nice have something work correctly after a fault.
That cable oiler is a good bit of kit. Something still useful from a more industrial age, that doesn't need to have Bluetooth or a good wi-fi signal. I enjoy seeing old devices like those. The quick air test seems to have shown it all works well. Its is good that you've got a Duncan and a Rob on hand to help.
Hi Tim, I had a similar problem with the trim on my D120 and oiling it helped greatly. However, the stiffness soon came back and further investigation found that where the cable went under the tailplane, a very short length of the outer cable had rusted almost through. The rest of the outer cable was in excellent condition.
It was good to see it was a perfect fix, Tim. It's so nice when that happens and makes the flight so much more enjoyable! 👍🏻
I was very pleased that it had worked so well and great to have a smooth trim control.
Tims smile said it all
It did worker better than I had hoped! 😊
A little lube makes it go up and down easier in your hand Pardon the pun nice one tim crack on safe landings
I am glad I found out what it was called as I was going to title it ‘Duncan’s Plunger’

I was very pleased that it had worked well and I hope it continues to do so. Makes the flying so much easier!

It was good to have their help and as I said in the description I had never seen a cable oiler before.
Nice to see the conclusion of the aforementioned fix required…
It was good to think that it worked as well as it did.
Always nice to have a smooth trimmer. I had a simular cable oiler back in the days, when I rode motor cycles.
It does make it so much easier so I was really pleased with the results.
@@JodelFlyer it's good to have things work the way you want. I hope to see you some place soon.
Successful exercise. 🙂 Good to see another flight, too. Best wishes, Tim.
Thank you. Hope it continues to work well. 🤞
Thanks Tim for the stick time.
I am afraid it is not easy to move the seat! 😊
I've got one exactly the same, bought it in the 90s for my motorbike 👍
If it was not for Duncan I would never have known about it and how it works.
Interesting gadget Tim. Chris in Devon.
It really did do the trick Chris.

Thank you for your reply. I will keep an eye out on the outer cable.
