This sound man actually made black metal sound good for once, I agree! I also concur that Attila is Legit; versatile, commanding, scary, and most of all, UNIQUE. Most black metal vocalists all sound alike, but not Attila. That low droning rasp of his alone makes you know it's HIM the moment it begins.
I'm 51 years old with four grandkids and started listening to Mayhem around '94 or so, when I first heard of them (when they were in the news haha). This is the best song/video/whatever I've ever witnessed from them. Or probably any other band in my life. The people who made the video are true professionals. Always liked Maniac better that the others but now I see how mind blowing Attila really is. I don't know how human vocal cords can withstand that. Attila and Hellhammer are both unbelievable live. Atilla proved what a performer and showman he is in India. This band wouldn't be as impressive without Atilla and Hellhammer.
I am seeing them in SF hopefully unless it cancels. The pandemic cancelled last year's appearance. Opening is Watson. General admission- so you can MOVE! I'm 68 and I haven't been to a stand-up concert in years so I hope my legs hold up.
