Its not just this house, Kerala has some of the best home designs in th whole world! They had to adapt to their unique climate while keeping their heritage and family value in mind, the result is some of the most uniquely cosy family spaces in the world. I used to love going to my friends house their one of my visits and the vibe and drink chai during a rainy day, and trust me the monsoons are never fun but in Kerala it was kinda nice!

Just looking at the greenery I feel so peaceful. As a malayali with a Canadian citizenship, I want to leave everything here and come back to my homeland. Its the plan.
I'm not even an Indian. I was born in Indonesia as half indian. Never know my ancestors history but feel so much connected to Kerala. Tradition, the landscape, the beautiful language, greenery, etc. I really want to move to this little piece of heaven but I have no one there. 😅

J'ai beaucoup apprécié aussi la région des backwaters...avec ses très belles maisons, et aussi des maisons plus petites qui avaient beaucoup de charme.

When parents get old, they are not able to climb stairs most of the time. It’s always good to have a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor. We learned that the hard way when my mother has difficulty climbing the stairs.

Travelled through Kerala this month. Man ..... What beautiful homes, what sublime aesthetics .... The transition from Kerala to Tamil Nadu was so consipcuous that my mind went from being in awe of architechtural aethetics to depressed because of the brutalist carton box like home designs. Well, I am not singling out Tamil Nadu. Almost all the states have worse home designs. But Kerala, it was different. It was soul satisfying.
The first dream of everyone is to build a beautiful house after getting a job. When marriage comes, both of their houses are renewed. The worst thing here is that middle-class people also think like that, so most of them end up in a financial crisis.

What a wonderful house! So comfortable, beautiful little spaces for sitting down and being social, a good sense of humour (e.g. the blue frog with glasses), an almost enchanted quality throughout the house that makes you feel safe and protected - I love this house!

I m also an architect from mumbai,from beginning only i really loved the traditional homes of south with courtyard. And this is also one of the masterpiece created by architect for himselves ,i will really love to visit this place whenever I come there if owner allows me.
