You should have your new laptop plugged into a good surge protector so if you have a loss of power, or change in the electrical surge it will not damager your laptop. I worked in IT for a long time that was our requirement. But maybe things have changed since I retired in 2007.

If your MSI has a USB-C port just get a USB-C to USB-A adapter and that will give you the second type A port for the mouse or whatever. Or you can get a USB-C port replicator (or similar name) and get multiple ports with that.

Looking forward to a review of it, if you're so inclined. You can buy a USB hub from Amazon, not expensive, and use several USB devices as you wish. My fav, always: MOO MOO !!!! People always say, 'PC's are cheaper than a Mac'. But when you get a good PC laptop like your new one, with a lot of higher end features, you do end up spending more money. You get what you pay for. Happy for your new laptop.
Hi Ausia, off the top of my head I do think you can buy a 1 to 3 usb adapter so you can have 3 also the cost and spec of that laptop the usb will be 3.0 and not the old 2.0 so will transfer data faster remember to ask if adapter is usb 3.0 compatible, ok Kidda x Kev UK
I hate it when people walk so fast you can’t catch up, then they stop and rest, so when you finally get caught up they start to go again so that you can’t rest. I also hate it when you walk with someone and they have to be in front, you never get to walk along side them.

Nice computer. That high a device would be wasted on me, but for your needs it is perfect. I've worked at TV studios where the production board probably cost 40K, where today you have something 10 times better for the price you paid.
If you check online they make 4 port usb hubs , I think mine is an Insten but I am sure Amazon and Walmart sell something similar . You will be able to plug in 4 usb items . I do like mine !
