The commentator is classic! Reminds me of my father. This is a very important thing to document.

Apart from the constant zigzagging, one reason for the lopsided bales is that the baler driver only ever rides anti-clockwise on this small meadow. The weaving only increases the effect of the constant left-hand turns.
If the driver would just turn around at about half of the bale and ride clockwise, the effect would even out and the bales would basically be correct at the end.

Modern balers can make 50 silage bales a minute , 60 hay bales

Weaver fast just to start bale, then weave one side for 15 to 20 seconds then the other side for 20 seconds.

Exactly, weaving way to much. Run a little bit on one side then in the middle a bit then to the other side. Smooth and slow and you will make a nice bale.

Good Video, However that tractor driver is unnecessarily killing himself, yes you do have to weave, some, but not that much! and it will make a good bale. The pickup and chamber on that baler is only 39 inches wide, and if you raked the windrow properly I.E. just a tad wider, you all but eliminate that weave. The rake man needs to help the baler man out. Just trying to help and yes I own one of these balers and the 1745 the bigger one too.

i always shoot right down the middle with mine, usually the windrow is wider than the throat in any decent hay. mine dont have gathering wheels which makes it hard

Yes indeed what you need to do is drive at one side of swarth twenty feet or so then cross to other side and repeat again till bale is full . Weaving like he is doing only feeds the centre of the baler

I bale with a baler like that..39 inch pickup..no need to weave if you have your windrows raked right. Just drive till you have a full bale.
