I was watching this review and thought it was the Jada toys version and immediately got sad lol. Literally thought “wow I thought it would be better than that” Thankfully I was wrong and it’s SHF
Picked him up for about $60 shipped from Japan. For $80 + tax and shipping, no way. But for a deal, I think he's okay. The dark green is kind of cool, since Storm and Jada are lighter greens.
I have Storm collectibles guile and Sota toys guile and I am writing this review. When I watched it, I definitely knew I made the right choices. My rating for the figure is 10/6.5-7 because his face is really bad And it doesn't deserve the price Sota toys were of their time and better than SHF today. If your budget is high and you are not obsessed with scale, choose Storm Collectibles, they have great details and quality, but if you have a low budget, wait for Jada, do not waste your money on SHF. Looks like SHF released this in a panicked and very reactive way, it feels like ‘unfinished’. Body as mentioned in the video seems to be an old mold, face plates are brutal knowing the quality they have been previously released. Jada’s SF line had Bandai scrambling, they even had to make their Naruto line relevant again. Jada Toys coming into the mix is more than offering an alternative, maybe toy companies are rethinking their plans in the 1/12 scale
The eyes look to have no real separation between skin tone and whiteness of the eyes. The skin and eyes blend into each other and just looks like black dots for eyes. a small outline of black or brown around the eyes might help.
Feel like shfiguart just try to jump in the bandwagon with Jada by using their old mold. Believe they felt the same way as we do which is why they were holding back in the 1st place.
Just can't wait to compare this shf Guile with Jada version. I hope Toy Migos can do a comparison review between shf and jada guile. At least give the toy collectors some ideas which to go for.
That figure is a great example of how not to design Guile. Could they have given em even worse boots than those clown shoes? Knees suck, knee bend doesn't even look natural and it has huge gaps. Can it even stand with legs together to a salute pose? Only 90 degree elbow...it can't even do his fighting pose with 90 degree elbows. If anything can be said about the elbows is that they are the worst to exist. The detail is nice, sculpt not too great and those faces 🤮 figure hardly had ab crunch. It was like shf decided to give the SF fans the finger with this one.
I think the Face is Fine, it's accurate to his Street fighter 2 Artstyle and a mix of stylised anime look,He is Great....Tho the face needs shading 😅, and the skin is too bland that's why the eyes can't be seen fairly
I dont really like it. I dunno. The face just not doing it for me either. Feels like they just pushed him out real fast while people still want these. Doesn’t seem like its finished. Looks like the worst one.
