About Kes:
Of the many musical acts which call Trinidad & Tobago home, perhaps none embody its polyglot culture more than KES, the eclectic soca outfit behind some of modern Caribbean music’s most indelible anthems. Celebrated for Carnival hits (“Wotless,” “Savannah Grass”) and island pop jams (“Tuesday on the Rocks,” “Endless Summer”), the band has brought Trinidad to the world, sharing stages with the likes of Will Smith, Major Lazer and John Legend. For the group - charismatic singer Kees Dieffenthaler (aka KES) and his brothers Jon (guitar) and Hans (drums), along with childhood friend, Riad Boochoon (bass) -blending soca, pop, rock, reggae, calypso, dancehall and afrobeats together is one part of their greater calling: To spread good vibes. The last three years have proven to be the most successful in the band’s decade-plus-run. “Hello,” a fusion of afrobeats and soca originally released in 2017, continues to reach new audiences over two years after its release. With over 40 million plays on TH-cam alone, it is one of the most streamed soca songs of all time. We Home, a live project recorded during the Covid-19 quarantine, is the band’s first album in over five years, with fresh renditions of KES’ carnival classics showcasing their prowess as a live band par excellence.

A day I would never forget labor day . Went to coney island and saw this happening I had to get in. Last mint bought my ticket didn't care the pice. It was awesome seeing all the artists performing. I was right at the front for this performance #AbsolutelyEpic right behind the barricade separating the crowd and media. Every time you saw the Antiguan flag at the front of the stage or heard the artistes mention the Antiguan flag, guarantee it was mine 9/10 times.
It was also amazing to see THE ✨QUEEN✨ Alison Hinds on stage performing again.
Kes performances make me wanna cry every time. The way he honors soca and calypso in all the forms they have taken since the inception is absolutely beautiful. This man has my WHOLE heart ❤️🇦🇬🇧🇧🙏🏾
I'm 65yrs young, not since 1974 NATRA CONVENTION SHOW back in Antigua featuring Walter Murphy & the Big Apple Band, The Fatback Band, and The Spinners have I felt such epic and electrifying energy from a well orchestrated, produced, and staged group of Artists. Every performance rated 🌟🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟. A repeat performance can't come fast enough. My favourite is Jolene because of its Afrobeat flavor. Well done! 👏 Long live Caribbean Music! Proud Antigua 🇦🇬 & Barbudan! 🙏

I saw Kes in Toronto 2019 one Love festival , definitly the best in soca music. Why ? because these guys are real musicians. No electronic BS . They set the bar high. I'm Hatian and I mostly listen to Roots Reggae . But after seeing KES I have to give to my Trini poeple RESPECT. Hope to see KES again but this time in Africa at Afronation festival .

Not since Arrow and Machel Montano have I seen such vibrant energy on Stage. A well spent $85 to see Kestheband & Friends @ Coney Island, Labor Day Wknd. 6th September. Finally, "Soca" has given birth to a new genre of Music influenced by Afro Caribbean Beat called "Island Pop." Easily, the most electrifying production and musical presentation I have witnessed and enjoyed since COVID-19. Brace for lots more music from this talented team. Long Live Soca Music! I hope so... but Krosfyah never crossed over and they were magnificent and so consistent....something just doesn't seem to translate well...and when you check the view numbers they are so so miserably low ... CP with all her amazing vibrancy: same ting 😔

Was a phenomenal show indeed. Be cautious at these Kes concerts though... these guys gon have you falling in love for no reason... the next thing you know you getting married. I almost got caught up when they performed here in Belize some time ago... A magical experience nonetheless.
