    I have this exact same knife. Coming from benchmades, spydercos, cold steels, etc. I am really impressed with the quality and manufacturing of this knife. Mine has zero blade play, works perfectly and came very sharp. In fact it looks like they put a micro bevel on it before leaving the factory. Not hard to do, but it is an extra step that results in an extra keen edge. Will purchase a Civivi or We again.

    I just got the button elementum Monday, 2 days ago, along with the CJRB Feldspar button. being small and in my '70s, my hands aren't as strong as they used to be. I found this channel looking for info on how I might modify the resistance of the Civivi button - The CJRB is easier to push and more fun to fidget with, at least for me.
    after seeing how the liner IS the spring for the elementum, I may just end up doing THUMB calisthenics! 😂

      You could try bending the liner back to relieve pressure. But don't ruin your knife

    That's cool you comparing it too the pm2. I started off carrying the pm2 and realized ot was a bit too heavy for me to be having in my pocket everyday so i got the elementum in the carbon fiber and damascus and i must say it is worth it.

    Thought I had lost a spring that went around the the button. Turns out the lock bar thing has to interact with the button the right way for it to work. Make sure the tip of the lockbar sits on the inside of the lip at the end of the button.

    wow! i wanna know who invented that spring action deal, for the damn button lock. simple but genius! i was watching a video on disassembling the sachse..lol soon as he lifted the scale off the button side of the lock, both the button and spring launched out of handle! man, it was crazy!! unfortunately as much as i like my brand new sachse i already scheduled a return like 5 min ago! a good point to take from all of this, its not JUST how the knife looks and feels and operates, its also whats going on behind the scenes. that spring action built into the frame puts the elementum miles ahead of the sachse! hands down! shit i hope there are other button locks that dont use an actual spring for the button, has to be!! a man, saw this video, subscribed and then commented! thanks to this video i have a brand new understanding of whats cool and of whats amazing!! thank you....

    It's a top two knife for 2021, for me. In this price range. I love this thing! Even more so than I thought I would, and I had high expectations.
    : - )
    I even emailed Joe about it, and told him thank you. I am so glad they went the no thumb-studs route.
    The other top two knife for 2021, for me so far. Is the new Kizer Slicer. That thing is very nice as well.

  • @Alexander.Grekhov

    Thanks for the review and disassembly. I just got mine, used. Had a rattle in the lanyard pin, so I took it apart to see what's up there... Two screws in the back tore through micarta, so it held only by clip screws... Also the design decision to make a stop for the pivot screw in micarta is highly questionable. The knife is not meant to be taken apart...
    Now for the life of me I cannot put it back together (and I put together Benchmades, no problem) - that damn button gets jammed all the time, won't go in the small hole on the liner side. Is there a secret how to do it right? Thanks!

    • @LuvThemKnives
      @LuvThemKnives  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree that having the bump under the pivot screw in micarta to hold it from spinning is not a great idea. I don’t know what to tell you on reassembly. Just the opposite of disassembly.

    • @LuvThemKnives

    Not sure why all the youtubers push Civivi I just returned the civivi elementum button lock. Its sharp as hell but the build quality is flimsy. The micarta scales were so thin if you tightened the 2 rear screws too much it would warp the scale off of the liner. Take a very close look at the button lock where it contacts the rear tang of the blade. The plunger is milled down less than a 1/16 inch this will fail before a liner lock would. Civivi knives are all show and no go. If you want a nice Chinese knife at a cheap price Petrified Fish is a better deal. Civivi - WE knives are over priced.
