Thanks for the upload. I had forgot the 1965 rules, and had expected to see Don Prudhomme in the film in elimination rounds undertaken on Labor Day in 1965. I knew that he won the US Nationals in '65. as well as in '69. and 1970. (He earned his spot the previous day and sat out Monday, only to run in the final, final.) You reminded me how different that it was.
That wasn't Bill (Spyder) Spanokos in that 59 Chevy. Bill drove the Monster Mash, a white 55 Chevy, in I/S. I believe the 59 Chevy was driven by Dave Boertman.
From the NHRA official website. The NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals were run at Bristol Dragway from June 16 -18, 2017. Clay Millican was Top Fuel Eliminator Ron Capps was Funny Car Eliminator Alex Laughlin was Pro Stock Eliminator. The NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals that were run, last year, from Jun 15-17, 2018, the results are as follows. Tony Schumacher was Top Fuel Eliminator Ron Capps was Funny Car Eliminator Jeg Coughlin Jr. was Pro Stock Eliminator. Where are you getting your misinformation? "Well I thought..." is not an answer. "I did not know" is not an answer. It takes as many keystrokes to navigate to the NHRA Website and extract this information as it does to make a patently false statement. The NHRA Thunder Valley Nations is scheduled for June 14-16 this year. Enjoy. I do not understand why someone will give you a thumbs up for misinformation. Some people will believe anything that another tells them WITHOUT DOING ANY RESEARCH as they are INTELLECTUALLY LAZY. Seriously. I challenge you to go to the NHRA Official Website and VALIDATE that which I have reported. Do not just take my word for it. (How do you think that I garnered the information?) Click on RESULTS. Scroll to 2017 in the Year Menu. A series of Tiles will load that includes all NHRA Sanctioned National Events that happened that year. Click on RESULTS tab underneath the tile which is titled, "NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals" DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT. I am just a stranger on the Internet whom you do not know.
