    I currently use a J2K Pro; tried a TF3 yesterday and will be using it in my league play this morning, the weight of min was 7.9oz and the swing weight and balance point felt similar to my J2Kpro. The main difference that I could tell was TF3 had more power and spin. I think the big selling point of the Genesis TF is that the paddle will last a long time and be consistent from the first day to the 300th day. The other selling point is they have a 30 day demo program so CRBN really removed any reason why not to try it.

  • @PickleTechie
    @PickleTechie 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    Braydon amazing review, especially the teardowns and I agree with most of your thoughts aside from the "all-court" I think these are baseline power. Their goal of solving core crushing and saying NO to "break-ins" lead to so much more than solving those. I think this is also one of the paddles that we will keep retesting for durability.

    • @ThePickleballBlast

    Great video! But can you explain to me what a “higher launch angle” is? Isn’t your launch angle just dependent on your wrist position?

    • @pickleballeffect
      @pickleballeffect  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      If you take 10 different paddles and hit a drive with each one using the same mechanics you'll notice that ball flight is different for each one. Some launch the ball higher and have loopier ball flights while others have lower, flatter ball flights. Typically 16mm paddles have higher launch angles than than 14mm paddles but in this case the trufoams had higher launch angles more like a 16mm paddle rather than the flatter launch angle that most 14mm paddles have.

    • @JflipJedi
      @JflipJedi 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Did bringing the sweet spot/balance point down to 232 change the sweet spot? It would seem to me that lowering the sweet spot/balance point would change the location of the fiberglass or cut out of the sweet spot? Interesting that you find it better with the tungsten tape at 3&9.

    • @pickleballeffect
      @pickleballeffect  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I didn’t notice a difference when playing though theoretically I see what you’re saying.

    • @NPD2024
      @NPD2024 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ Glad there was not a noticeable shift in the sweet spot. I ordered a G2 yesterday morning. Been using the ESQ-C 12.7 and 14mm. I feel like the G2 is going to be very similar but with a bigger sweet spot and more feel (though I’m pretty dialed in with the 14mm ESQ). Ordered 2 tungsten tapes from you and I’ll be ready to add weight to the G2.

    i was using the ESQ but found it hard for the soft game so just bought the apes pulse V...and then got sucked into TF2 lol (used your code!). in what ways do you like the TF2 more than Pulse V?

    • @ThePickleballBlast
      @ThePickleballBlast 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Not braydon but have hit both of these. For me at least tf2 was more powerful, more pop if you hit that fiberglass, and better soft game. Pulse is lighter / lower swing weight and maybe a little more stable though I think the tf plays more stable than it's twist weight indicates

    • @madebyymira
      @madebyymira 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ThePickleballBlast thank you! did you like the tf2 more than the pulse to justify the price difference between the two?

    • @ThePickleballBlast
      @ThePickleballBlast 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ That's a tough question because us reviewers usually get access to paddles. I think they are both great, and I know they have both been really well received by most people. They play a bit different so it depends what you want out of your paddle. One potential major difference though is longevity. I didn't personally experience it but I know the pulse v had a break in period for some and kinda changed how the paddle played. I don't know that it's distinctly had a core crushing problem more then other gen 3 paddles but supposedly with the trufoam there is no chance of that. Again, you will probably be happy with either imo and it depends on your game. These two two of the three standard shaped paddles that I've actually enjoyed haha so they are already in a league of their own!

    • @lazyhusband

      I’ll stick with my $65 Jellybean and faster hand speed

    • @pickleballeffect
      @pickleballeffect  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You'll be able able to control the TF2 over the ESQ so that was a good move. While I like the pulse V too you're going to get more offense from the TF2 while retaining the same or similar level of control. Something about the unique feel and response of the TF2 helps you connect with it and control it better than other paddles that have a similar level of power and pop. Maneuverability wise the are very similar though the V is more forgiving so that is one drawback with the TF2 compared to the V but the sweet spot isn't small on the TF2 either so it's not a big loss.

      Take this for what it's worth but I prefer hybrid shape paddles, in fact I like hybrid then elongated then somewhere way lower is standard shaped paddles for me. Hey Braydon, when a word has “ing” in the word, the “g” is silent. So a word like “springy” is pronounced spring-ee, rather than spring-gee.
