  • Polaris Outlaw 70 EFI was brand new for 2021. Designed for riders age 6 and up, the fuel injected Outlaw 70 replaces the highly popular Outlaw 50, offering more room for riders to grow into. Your first ATV is often the most memorable and exciting, so for all of the parents out there with young riders entering the sport, we’re proud to present our test of the 2021 Polaris Outlaw 70 EFI
The Outlaw 70 EFI is an ATV that leaves riders more room to grow into than the 50 it replaces, in both size and overall performance. This should keep the 70’s fun factor up for a longer period of time before its time to step it up to the Outlaw 110. With more displacement, fuel injection, disc brakes all around, larger tires and wheels, and an overall larger machine, Polaris has certainly packed a lot of features into the Outlaw 70 EFI for only $100 more than the Outlaw 50. However it seems that some and attention to detail was sacrificed to reach its $2,349 price point.
On the bright side, fuel injection makes the engine run flawlessly, the suspension could be best in class, its stable, has good tires, It stops well, is pretty comfortable, and splash protection isn’t bad either. For us the bottom line is this, while it’s not perfect, with so much going for it Polaris Outlaw 70 should have no problems putting smiles on the faces of up and coming riders for years to come.

The steering it is limited due to the extra piece of metal on Column. The small metal piece stops it from turning all the way right or left.

    • @ATVonDemand
      @ATVonDemand  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

You, can probably shave those down to let it steer farther but we didn't test it and see if there are any other drawbacks to doing it. It was a loner unit from Polaris so we couldn't start grinding on stuff.

I’m 15 now and I’ve had it since 2013, I really love it and it has gone to some crazy places, like windrock in Tennessee. For younger me the bike easily rides itself with little input and just makes it’s way through just about anything, now that I’m bigger it really goes through anything with more body use but the gun factor is a little lower than I wish, not very good at drifting because the low rpm. But i highly recommend getting one before you think somebody might be ready, because it is an awesome bike. I also have never had to tamper with the engine and it has gone through one spark plug, really is built to last.

You're either joking or you didn't watch.
      1. We criticized certain maintenance points as being hard to reach.
      2. We said it was 50 to 70 pounds heavier than its competitors.
      3. We mentioned that the larger heavier tires and wheels make its power feel more on par with most fifties.
      4. We said that power was adequate for beginners but more experienced ridrts will want a bit more pep.
      5. We said the swing arm was rather wide and unrefined looking and that the chain adjustment system was unnecessarily complex.
      6. We said ground clearance was a touch low for the class at 4".
      7. Yet we said that if there are any significant engine and clutching upgrades and jumping becomes a thing, the suspension will begin to bottom quickly.
      8. We mentioned that the rear tires rub against the back of the foot Wells when the rear shock bottoms out.
      9. We mentioned that steering was stiff on our unit. Not sure if that is normal.
      10. We said the turning radius was as wide as a full size ATV.
      11. We said that the rear brake pedal is a touch tall.
      12. We said that the front fenders protruded a bit far back into the rider compartment getting in the way of the rider's knees.
      12. We criticized it for not coming with a rear grab bar standard.
