Hey man, the black coverings port onto the bottom of the feet on the saber tooth and triceratops. Gives it a lot more back heel support to help with articulation.
@@checob224tbh (for transformers at least) some of the stuff from Chinese third party companies look far better. They know how to make a figure that looks and feels high quality...
@FN-1701AgentGodzillaRangerPrime Ω they have released 10 rangers for SPD and two megazords in that combine which is a big part of their ZAP programme so I think that is highly likely once they get the dragonzord out and another 90s season a megazord (in space likely)
Tip for the pterodactyl sometimes it pops off because of the stiff joints on the trex arms not allowing the arms to be pushed back all the way against the trex chest, carefully loosen or heat up the small stiff double jointed arms of the trex and it should help
Great review Shartimus. I have this one and I feel the same way, great individual figures and the Megazord combination is awesome. Fyi, the extra pieces from the Mastodon can be used as talons for a better balance on the Megazord

I just don't get why Hasbro felt the need to add so much extra detail that was not present on the show. Articulation is better than I thought it would have, puts the SOC to shame, but the size and excessive detailing makes this an easy pass. They should have done this in the 6inch scale.
It's just too expensive to be the only offering. I would love to have the mini pla version be brought over or a redo of the build a Megazord in 1/144 scale

I understand Mighty Morphin is the originator much like the Gen 1 Pokémon, therefore companies will often show them love over anything that has come out since then. That being said I wish there wasn’t so much bias towards 90s nostalgia nowadays. I understand these are still some of the most popular versions of their respective franchises but a lot of that also has to do with their amount of representation in various forms of media and merchandise. All that to say I’d love to see Hasbro or really any company tackle every Megazord. Like a full line of them like Transformers. Give me a Dino Charge or a Samurai Megazord. (And Samurai had like a thousand different versions and configurations, so engineering would be hard but they’d certainly get their money back with the amount of times they could rerelease it.) Or heck even give me a Thunder Megazord from Mighty Morphin as well. That’s a really cool design, that unfortunately a lot of people forget about.
New lines are gonna go with what sells. If that doesn't sell, they drop the line and move on. Goku is currently sitting at number 2 on toys on Amazon. This is why they keep making the same damn shit, loll
The panel lining on this thing isn't impressive, it's inaccurate. It is not possible to get a screen accurate megazord while also having it transform, but they went out of their way to add details that should not be there. The quality seems pretty more too. Pieces continuously pop off as he moves it. That sabertooth tiger fell apart like 10 times.
Dang I saw a comment that says this is $400 I’ve been recently getting my 3 year old lil dude the lightning collection space rangers I got him the black ranger when he was like 2 and he didn’t care for it and then I showed it to him again and he loved it then just the other day I was at Walgreens and saw the silver ranger and pink ranger and after that he fell in love with power rangers and ninja turtles so I showed him the fight scene from episode 4 shell shock and after that he was hooked haha I love it tho I grew up on MMPR but the season I remember the best was MMPR In Space I was like 6 or 7 years old I’m 91 but idk if he’s really really into it I might get this for him haha his little brother coming out soon anyway in like 3 months so he could pass it down
I always wanted to get a Dino Megazord for myself and I finally got one in my collection. I love the extra details and articulation on the Dino Megazord. The only thing I don't like is the plastic texture I wish it was better quality bc of its size and weight. Overall I still love it and have a lot of fun playing with Dino Megazord. Can't wait for the Dragonzord coming next.
paint errors, too many things fall off easily.. if it was cheaper would be fine but, for what theyre asking for.. it's a little too close to the cheap previous hasbro megazord than something premium..
Unfortunately, despite looking absolutely gorgeous, it's struggling to break through into B Tier. The fact that the pterodactyl pops off like that is, without hyperbole, astounding, and the articulation on the individual zords is very disappointing as well. The price on this breaks down to about $35 per Dino, and I have seen $35 zords with articulation that makes these look like Happy Meal prizes. On top of that, the partsforming is absolutely ridiculous. That panel that comes off of the Mastodon could easily fold away, and probably would on a Transformer in this price range. Same goes for the tail. That really ought to fold up into itself. Honestly there's no excuse for any kind of partsforming on a $160 figure.
Those panels go on the bottom of the feet. The issue isn't really the pterodactyl... It's the QC across all of them. They all have different issues and the paint is sloppy. Lead designer on this used to work on transformers....

Dinozord names pissed me off as a kid. The mastodon looks more like a mammoth, theres no such thing as a pterodactyl (should be pteranodon) no such thing as a sabertooth tiger (should be smilodon). Always hated power rangers. Good video though man

Tip for the pterodactyl sometimes it pops off because of the stiff joints on the trex arms not allowing the arms to be pushed back all the way against the trex chest, carefully loosen or heat up the small stiff double jointed arms of the trex and it should help

Definitely a stylised Megazord. I wasn't convinced by the individual zords or tank mode damn that Megazord mode looks pretty damn awesome.
