    Mazda cars ( along with Honda cars ) are recognized for their reliability according to many auto magazines . I find the Mazda 2 much more attractive than the Ford Fiesta . I own an old version of Mazda 2 and it' s a decent car .

      ... Friend I just made myself a demo that belonged to VEHICULOS DEL CAMINO (agency in Medellin) ... Gran Touring LX Sedan (red mazda) ... 2020 model with only 4 thousand kms .....! I am happy ! ... and you know that I am fascinated by everything: it also has a CD system ...

    I saw a Mazda 2 in blue in person. I literally could not stop looking at it, so nice in person and the blue was stunning.

    The Mazda 6 is NOT worse than the new Mondeo, and the CX-5 is THE best in it's class. This guy has no clue.

    Can't understand why people are obsessed with comparing to Ford. On balance surely this is better? Looks reliable and still drives well. Zoom zoom.

    Turbo charged engines provide a more instant punch? When did that happen...

    • @another3997
      @another3997 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It happened when some people decided that a turbo kicking in at 2000 rpm with a large helping of torque, is better than having to rev the nuts off an engine to get at the power and torque. In that sense, turbo engines do give a more instant punch. If you talk about "throttle response", then no, turbo engines don't generally react quite as quickly, but you do ride a wave of torque from lower revs and for longer than a normally aspirated engine.

    • @domzbu
      @domzbu 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A Nother the MAZDA 2 is so light it doesn’t need dollops of torque to carry it . It’s about 200kg lighter than most of its direct competition

      I'm looking at Mazda2s to follow my 3. The 3 was a 2010 1.6 which meant a 0-62 of over 12s, approx 3s slower than the (90ps) 2. But it was still great to drive - didn't feel slow, and that was after a 150ps Arona, 0-62 in 8.2s. I think I'd prefer to stick with the instant throttle response of a non-turbo.

    Mazda are fun to drive believe me! When you put your foot down in 2nd and 3rd and push it to 6 n half revs believe me you'll do nothing but smile! They are really quite fast and you'll be surprised. Plus you get amazing mpg after belting it down roads like the man said himself. The 2 needs a flat boot and it's about time they brought a mps version out to smug the fiesta and corsas and Audi a1

    The dash is quite good, it has clean and logical design. However Mazda should use some soft touch material on the dash in the future facelift. I like the LED head light in the higher trim. Speaking of practicality.... well it is not so practical. There are no bottle holder on the rear doortrim for rear passangers. Rear doortrim is too simple, too minimalistic. Rear space is a squeeze for 3 adults.

    Well, it the Telegraph..., always favours the status quo. Can only say that once a car has a few miles, and years, on the clock..., I'd have a Mazda 2 over a Fiesta any day.

    3:38 In a turbocharged engine you don't get an instant puch, quite the contrary; what you do get is turbo lag and a binary attitude. This NA engine offers what the competition doesn't: immediate throttle response. And go for the 115hp flavour, obviously.

    • @chickensoupfortheloser8515
      @chickensoupfortheloser8515 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you happen to own the 115hp? If so would you say it is worth it compared to the 90hp (for performance, running costs) or not worthwhile?

      I'm not a particular fan of the Fiesta, but tell us, which cars are better equipped, better to drive and are as cheap to run as a Fiesta? And just to be clear, make sure they cost the same as a Fiesta to within a say £500 if buying new.

      "A Driver Tester"??? Does that reveal yet another unorthodox sexuality? Maybe not, since drivers have as many sexualities as putters, sand-wedges, or any other club. Some less than reputable taxi firms test their drivers, with all those who never drive at less than 60 miles per hour yet still take more than 3 times longer than a person doing the same journey on foot selected immediately for the most frequented routes.

    I nearly bought a Mazda 2 a few years ago, but the ride was so hard the boot was too small, otherwise handled well, but I went for a Fiesta better value lower priced spares and service at the time and not a bone shaking ride

    • @fundiver198
      @fundiver198 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      lffit I have driven both the 1,3 liter and 1,5 liter versions of the old Mazda 2. And I did not notice any problem with the ride quality at all. In fact I found, it was a very pleasent little car to drive.
      But not quite as roomy as something like a Skoda Fabia, VW Polo or Vauxhall / Opel Corsa it has to be said. It was more an alternative to something like the Suzuki Swift or the Toyota Yaris.
      The old Mazda 2 is build on the same platform as the Fiesta. And I think the Fiesta, which came out 1-2 years after the Mazda 2, was a bit of a bug-bear for it. Not because the Fiesta is better to drive, because really I dont think it is at all. But simply because the Fiesta had a lot more daring and at the time modern design.
      So yeah. On balance, when the current Fiesta came out in 2008, it became the better value of the two sister cars, and I can not fault you for choosing it.

    • @lffit
      @lffit 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      it was rental car, and not very powerful possibly the 1.3? I am not the only person to think the ride is hard, many reviewers said the same thing, so hard in fact the glovebox lid would chatter. I checked the tyre pressure it wasn't that. I found the car also had quite a lot of rear road noise as well; but handling wise and as for the gearbox and finish.... really good.
      Yes I am happy with the Fiesta, however panel fit could be better

    • @Dongzzzzzz
      @Dongzzzzzz 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +lffit duh,ford partially owned mazda at that time so why would they make the mazda 2 better than the fiesta,they made the 2 like a basic fiesta so you would buy a ford but now mazda made it's own design,engine,etc without ford and now it looks better

      At least we respect our language... Until recently you didn't "die", you "passed away". Now you don't "pass away", you just "pass". I wonder how many times Joe Montana and David Beckham "passed" in the course of their professional activities... As for "going to the rest-room" instead of "going to the toilet"! I even hear of dogs that "go to the bathroom" in the kitchen... Geographically challenged canines? Then you have all those irrelevant applications of grammar from other languages, like "different than", and of other grammar "jewels of stupidity" like "I dove" for "I dived", "I had went" for "I had gone" or "I went", and the almost incredible "I wish I would have went to school and learned English...". Only "almost incredible" because I have not yet read that exact phrase, but I have read and heard many phrases constructed in that manner. And, in truth, that sort of garbage is borrowed from no other human language, it's just pure ignorance. The ignorance of the United States of America is not really the subject of this response. No-one has the time to study that one.
      And as the people of the United States slowly sink into illiteracy, endeavouring to follow their President's example, the rest of the world laughs...
      Didn't I mention "would of", (should be "would have")? One of the most widespread American exports ever, which sometimes invades the texts produced by even otherwise educated users of English. Who woulded of thunk it?
