Oh, what a nice surprise my friend, thank you so much! This is her original song, I don't know about the movie scenes in the background, I think they are just for the atmosphere... "Tormento" is torment, anguish, torture and yes, again it's a song about desperate love...
But she has happy songs too... one favorite of Coby and me is "Placer Hollywood"... There is a very beautiful recording of this with her Tiny desk home concert, recorded at a beautiful little church in rural Mexico, great musicians, great arrangement, and Mon is VERY heavily pregnant, so beautiful, she must have given birth immediately after the concert... this is only 6 months old so you'll get to see how beautiful she is now...
As this is the last song of four in that Tiny desk recording and there is no single video (of the song there is, but not as an outtake of this concert which is so beautiful... ) I'll put a timestamp in the video link to the end of the third song... enjoy!

Great singer this is one of my favorite songs 🥰from her Concierto Completo Festival Vina del Mar 2017 . It is a concert of about an hour in which she sings different genres.
Yeah the auidience were amazing too. I loved this festival 😊👍
Thanks Coby, I will watch the whole concert, I've only seen several single tracks from that concert so far... btw, do you know the recording of Tormento in the theatre Fru Fru? That's a newer recording and my favorite one, she's seasoned as an artist, the arrangement is smaller, more delicate and she's so in the pocket... Of course she was great when she was younger too, but I'm happy I only discovered her now, with her Tiny Desk she won my heart, I don't know if I would have paid that much attention to her if I had got to know her earlier...
