Good questions, disappointing and inconsistent answers for the most part. The guest doesn't seem to have a real grasp on the unemployment problem. Not having a second language doesn't seem to decrease people's chances of success in many other none English speaking countries. His best solution for the companies is to export whatever good things (including skills) we have here 1:10:39 I can't see how this wouldn't increase the gap he talked about at the beginning of the video. And since AI is so reliable, how about we let it replace the real working human being and widen the gap even further? It's certainly a cheaper alternative for the companies that seem to want free labour. By the way, the controversy around data use for AI training is huge around the world; nothing is certain about the future of AI. One thing I agree with, even though I'm not sure it's exactly what he meant; if we can't succeed here with all the skills that we have despite the challenges, it would be nearly unfulfilling to succeed anywhere else since challenges do exist everywhere.
What's best for the companies is to export in foreign currency. It's best for any company and the country to be an exporting country. Utilizing talent locally to export is better than letting them exit the country. The gap grows when people can't be productive in the country and leave or they graduate while not relevant to the job market. As for English language in Egypt. It's because of the currency difference. If EGP was powerful enough people working locally would be similar to people exporting. We wouldn't have the big difference in salaries. The big difference in salary is because EGP is now much weaker.
