This is the only cover of the song I actually enjoy. I still think the original is the best though.
Edit: To be fair I think it just fits better in the 80's during the cold war.

Well, this version is a great one, BUT can't be better than the original; the voice range and register of the original song with Marion Gold is amazing, and even now, at 60 years old: he can sing it exactly the same way!! By the way: you can tell somebody can't even do a very accurate judgement about a song when can't even tell who sings it; this is not Sonic Youth, that's a band that actually is even older than Alphaville, that plays experimental and alternative rock; this version comes from a much younger indie band: Youth Group, that started their career at the late 90's.
