Disappointing end obviously, but he learned a lot this year and i think ultimately became a better, more patient QB. Even Brady didn’t get the SuperBowl every season, Mahomes still had a great season.

Can’t believe people actually have the audacity to call this guy overrated just because he has good weapons and lost that AFC Championship. Alex Smith and all of those other Chief QBs couldn’t get the job done before Mahomes except Len Dawson. You can’t win the SB every year. What Mahomes has done so far in his career is a lot more than most QBs did their first 4 years. In 4 games without Hill, Mahomes had 8 touchdowns and 0 picks. People just hate him for no reason. As a niners fan, Mahomes is one of the best quarterbacks I've ever seen. Other teams could have had taken him in the draft, but they totally passed up. Don't get me wrong here but if any team has this man at qb, they can go to the sb. I wouldn't be surprised if Mahomes ended up as a top 10 qb of all time. He also can go on to win many more rings and possibly tie Montana's and Bradshaw's 4.

The defense was tough, but Mahomes started lighting it up in the 4th quarter and the 49ers had no answer. As soon as Kelce caught the pass to make it 20-17, I knew we were gonna fold. But your Chiefs 2019 team was BOSS. If there was any team who really deserved to win it that year, it was you guys.

We’ll see how good he truly is next year playing without, not only a TRUE WR1, but without the best deep route runner in the league, the fastest WR in the league, and also a top 3-5 WR in the league. So next year we’ll see how good he is at reading his progressions and reading the defense. I know teams will double Kelce alll year and just go 1 on 1 with JuJu and Hardman and MVS.. I think Pat will be fine, but I do think he takes a step back and throws around 3800-4100 yards, 28-33 TDs & 13-17 INTs… It’ll for sure be an interesting season for Mahomes tho. Obviously he’s not going to get benched but it’ll be a sign of how good he really is. Like if he comes out and throws for 50 TDs & 5000+ yards without Hill then he’ll receive even more praise!

Supreme talent. One thing hits me over and over again when I watch this (I grew up watching 80's & 90's NFL)... it looks way too clean and sanitized. No mud, rain, snow. I think the loss of hill will force mahomes to be better at that. There were so many frustrating moments last season where there would be wide open receivers but instead he throws it into double coverage just because it’s hill/kelce

I think this is a pivotal year for both Mahomes and Reid. Either we are in the midst of one of the greatest teams in history or we're simply a good team with a pretty good QB and coach. It depends on how we do not only in this next year but the years to come.
I'll put it another way, if Belichick and Brady were playing in that Championship game would they have lost it? I don't think they would have. And sadly that's what Reid and Mahomes are up against. If they cannot get more than one or two it will feel like it was a waste and their legacies will be tarnished. Sad but true. They have got to figure out how to win when it counts. Whatever that takes, they have to do it. I'm excited to see what unfolds and I'm hopeful that they can reach greatness.
