  • The American Dream is still pursued, to varying levels of success, by most citizens, and creating an empire from nothing is the goal of many an entrepreneur. Have you ever wondered if a franchise investment would pay off? Well, in 2013, an entry-level Domino's employee worked his way from delivery driver to franchisee. He explained his success to CNN, saying that he went from an hourly wage to a six-figure salary. The best part about a franchise investment is that your educational or socio-economic background is inconsequential. All you need is the investment and the drive to succeed (as well as a bit of money). Join us as we detail how much Domino’s Pizza franchise owners really make per year.

      Neither. I either go with Hungry Howies 🍕 or Papa John's. Sometimes Little Ceasars. The problem is LC is it's clear they just unfreeze & reheat the crusts, cheese toppings. Still for $5-10.00, it's a decent 🍕 for the $. + its close.

      A Taco Bell manager told me he made $100,000 a year. He made like a low amount per hour but worked 7 days a week for 10-12 hours. That not very good.
      If this guy has 18 stores and make 6 figure thats not very much. Let say he makes $900,000 a year that equal to $50,000 a year per store. So if you have one store that's not alot.

    I think that the stores only reimburse their drivers in cash at the end of the night for their mileage. But they only give about half the deductible amount an independent contractor can claim on their taxes. I think you have to keep a log of your mileage, and you might be able to get a tax deduction on your tax filing if you itemize deductions. ? The other half that you weren't reimbursed for. Say the deductible is 58 cents per business mile for the self -employed. Currently for 2019. Dominos will probably only pay you in cash half that mileage expense. So the rest must be deducted. Most drivers don't do this I think.

    I've had a bad experience with Dominos employee too that took my number and started harassing me and made fake accounts to harass me more. Dominos holds your number and address if you've ordered from them before. Alot of dominos are privately owned and when i tried reporting it. The "manager" on the phone said he couldn't do anything and he wouldn't give me his boss's number too. So I had to do my own research. Looking at the past reviews its happened before and yet no one will help. I got the police involved and found his name Kuvi Sarad and filed a restraining order and had to change my number. The first part contradicts the success of franchisees. 18 stores and being optimistic about the 6 figure claim at 900K, that's 50K per year per store, that combined with the big investment per store seems like a poor ROI.

    y'all complaining about the pay for a fanchise owner are missing the point of owning a frachise. It is an investment. The real money is made in the equity of the franchise.
    Think of it as a dividend paying stock. The value of the stock tends to go up. Meanwhile, you still collect the dividend (the salary). Eventually you sell, and collect the big payday.
    Or, you hold, hire staff to run the business and collect passive income.

    • @FloridaMedicareBroker
      @FloridaMedicareBroker 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Chinese Virus As a franchise owner, you own the business itself. The business itself is worth a lot of money, and can be sold at any time, and you the owner can collect the proceeds from the sale.
      Lets say you pay $100,000 for a franchise, 5 years later that business is producing $5,000,000/year in revenue. Depending on the type of business it is, you could sell that business for many multiples of what you paid for with the original $100,000 franchise fee. All this while, you are a collecting a modest salary.
      I will use myself for example. I bought an insurance franchise for $25,000. In the first year, I also invested about $50,000 of my own money into the business. Total investment = $75,000. After the first year, I was making enough money that I could reinvest the profits, without having any more risk to myself. I currently have enough revenue from the agency to pay myself a modest $60,000/year salary, but based on market conditions, if I wanted to, I know I could sell the agency for about $600,000
      You might ask "why would somebody pay $600k for a business that produces only a $60k/year salary?"
      Consider this:
      1) Not everybody's overhead will be the same. Whoever buys my business may decide to lay off employees, consolidate offices, etc... The buyer may just want the cash flow, and none of the overhead
      2) The business may still grow. It may be worth $600k today, but 5 years from now, it could be worth $1,000,000. If managed right, any business could be worth anything.
      This is where the real value of owning a franchise comes in. It is the ownership of the business, and the ability to cash out at any time.

      Incorrect, the beauty of owning a franchise is that you hit the ground running as soon as you open your doors with systems, a working product, and a name that is already successful which allows you to bypass the growing pains of starting a business. The downside is that The Franchisor reaps the overall reward of the success of a business = its equity, not the franchisee who only sees the success of the individual franchise.

    It really depends on where your store is and how much business you do I worked in California at a dominoes in the 80s and we had the second highest earning single store and they made close to 600,000 a year profit, some stores barely make money, It depends on how well it’s managed and how good of an area you have but for what you get for $100,000 investment plus you also have to work there for a while, I believe you have to be a manager for at least a year, you’re going into a business you know and have already been running so it’s a pretty Great deal and generally you can make very good money, six figures off of 18 stores seems incredibly low to me, I think most single or double store owners make well into the six digits. Are used to make deposits and we would do nights where we put more than $20,000 in the bank from one store.

      @@unclececil other than rent and utilities expenses were about the same because dominoes use the commissary system so all your supplies and the boxes and the food supplies all cost the same at every store so the profit margin is the same, the only variable would be property expenses and potentially a little variance in labor and the busier you are the lower you are utility percentages would be but for the most part it’s pretty close and expenses are going to be about the same at any store. They do a lot of research first so, at the time anyway, they weren’t opening stores in the middle of nowhere that had no potential for an usually wear one leasing expenses would be more you’re also going to have more sales to make up for it. But in the mid 80s that was a whole lot of money to be depositing every night for a restaurant.

    I'm a District Manager for a Domino's Franchise and this video has to be very old. Maybe 2013 because of the uniforms. Not to mention those boxes look like a International Domino's. In summary not a very good representation of what a Franchisee makes in 2020 or even 2018. So, not very accurate.

      From your experience what does a typical franchise make?

    • @antonioph861
      @antonioph861 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anywhere from $10k to $30k a month. A lot of variables come into play when talking about what a Franchisee makes but there's a couple variables but in my experience in CA, NV and TX. I can say Domino's is not an easy Franchise to run, it's a beautiful science. You can't get off the couch invest in a Domino's and make tons of money. Doesn't work that way. Takes years of experience, 100% Franchisee's that I have met started in Domino's as Drivers or Pie makers. Also, to be considered a requirement is to be a GM for a minimum of a year and have a 4 star average in your Operation Evaluation Reports throughout the year.

    Payed by domino's? 🤔

  • @pablor.694
    @pablor.694 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have worked in many Pizza Restaurants throughout the years and Domino's is by far the worst company I have ever worked for. Always understaffed. Domino's charges almost 5 dollars for delivery fee and only pay the driver 1 dollar from that delivery fee, which was also considered your reimbursement for mileage. Sometimes you will drive 5-8 miles round trip for a delivery and zero tip. This happened often since I worked by a college.
    Most managers and assistant managers are incompetent and show favoritism to others. Only way to get the schedule you want is to kiss ass. I have seen people be promoted to assistant managers 1 week after they were hired, even if they made shitty pizzas. The franchise owner was very full of himself. When you get hired you were suppose to attend a two day orientation. The orientation was literally about the franchise owner and how "good" of a person he was.
    Many of the store's I have seen form Domino's are dirty and disgusting. People do not wash the equipment correctly and kind of rinse it without really scraping the food off. I can not talk for all Domino's stores, but this is specifically for the franchise stores located in San Diego.

    • @richardakasunny5977

      I just got delivery from dominos and it was way overcooked when I specifically asked for lightly toasted bread several times. I also asked for extra meat on all sandwiches and did not get it although I paid for it,and unfortunately got no meat at all on one of the sandwiches. I took the food back to the store hoping to get it corrected, but instead got cussed out for complaining. The young girl there informed me she is the manager and would throw the sandwiches in my face,at which I told her to do so and I would mop her tall across the parking lot. I am a 62 year old cancer serviced and did not deserve her bad attitude. The way I see it, if you get mad because of someone else's mistake being managent you should make it right instead of threatening the customer an.,yd being so rude. She is certainty not management material or was trained by a moron with no ethics,moral or proud of the food they serve

My friend clears 1million a year sometimes more. So do the math okay. And all the dominos he franchise. he owns the damn buildings! So if dominos wants to take his franchise they will have to pay him rent! To stay at location or they would have to rebuild! So think about it. He has his own builds n plaza you really think he can afford that with just a 100k a year. Hell I use to work for him when I was younger n I cleared. 50k a year as a pizza delivery driver!!!
