    I am such a fan boy of MoraKniv. I have only had the classic craftsmen 612 utility knife but it has been the best knife I have ever owned. My mora has seen very heavy use for the past year and it is still going strong.

    Man I love Moras and those newer handles look sweet, I have bought over 20 Moras and have given them as gifts and traded them all and bought them again to replace them. You just can't go wrong with these awesome product for the price. Thanks for the video.

    Love my new Mora! The blade is so beautiful and sharp.

    I want them all! That chisel and thin blade were awesome! When it comes down to really using knives, and having them function properly, and not being afraid to use or lose because of cost, nobody beats Mora. Almost makes the new $100 model contradictory.

    I like the chisel one. Definitely be nice to throw in the back pack and for what I'm guessing is around 20 bucks or somethhing else affordable.

      Wrong. On average everybody in Sweden owns four Moras. I have at least 15.

      No. They also makes quaint wooden toy horses and water faucets. And a lot of tourism.

    I got a carbon steel Mora,left it wet from fruit cutting and it got rust spots within less than 2 hours.I like them but i will go with a stainless steel next time.

    • @gavocrazy
      @gavocrazy 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should give it a chance. Carbon steel, while needing maintenance, is really great! Takes a wicked edge, and is really easy to sharpen! With the rust issue, if you force a patina, I find it helps deter rust. Otherwise, just clean your knife after every use, and if you encounter rust again, use an sos pad.

    They made knives to sell to the Dutch to carve wooden shoes. Just Kidding. I love my new Mora 510. It is perfect for carving wood or meat. I am glad they got rid of the finger guard for finer cuts while carving. Sure it looks more like a steak knife without it, but increased the functionality. Most people cut the guard off anyway. As far as eating with it goes, it needs to stay oiled because it is carbon steel so use mineral oil. I think a vegetable oil would get rank. You do not want a petroleum based oil. The black handle looks better IMO. What I do not understand is why the spine is so rough. I tried to file it and then diamond rod and polish it with steel wool and cant get it clean looking. I tried it on a firestarter and nothing so that cant be why the spine is rough. Still, my new 510 is a great all around companion to my survival knife.

      +James Hightower The best oil I've found in mineral oil. Mineral oil is perfectly safe to drink, and it's just thick enough to stay on the blade, something vegetable oil doesn't do well. Mineral oil is also excellent for use with an oilstone for the same reason.

    why did you not keep all your knives with a choice of sheath clip like on the black knofe carbon we had a choice of a belt clip on , not reliable, and a belt loob that you can snap on to go through belt and virtually impossible to loose, dont for get we are talking survival. and i don't want to be doing al work and bending and finding my knife gone with sheath, can you explain what i can di to make it more reliable lime a loop

    the bushcraft pathfinder would be perfect if it had a real hand-guard. when you punch threw clothing your hands will slip onto the blade.

      It's a $20 knife. As long as you're not trying to baton with it, the knife will never break. Stop complaining about something so ridiculous.
