this slaps here's some conjecture: I believe that this was recorded by holding a tape recorder to a radio, radio was just too loud and that's why it's distorted the first commercially available talkbox (which was used on this, quite obviously) was 1969 so it wouldn't be insane for this to be from the mid-70s. the volume coming down at 3:05 isn't the volume being turned down it's a fadeout judging by how it's perfectly cut, i'm assuming this is from either an extant demo or someone didn't turn off the tape recorder between songs, lostwaves recorded suddenly off-radio tend to have a loud jump at the start or start in the middle of the song
I think it's a bass guitar or double bass with a wah-pedal or other wah-effect. This One's Gonna Fly by Templeton Thompson has that on a standard or baritone guitar.
The song sounds melancholic and the lyrics seem to reminiscence about a good but bygone past. This makes me wonder that this could be some underground music from an Eastern Bloc country. I've seen Russia mentioned as the potential origin so could it potentially be from one of the Baltic countries that were occupied by the Soviet Union?
I don't know if this can help but the background vaguely reminds me of that of the Italian theme song of the anime "Ogon Batto" (in Italy known as "Fantaman") but slightly slowed down Here's the song I'm refering to: youtu . be /epWtUmQRko4 The song was made by the "Superband", maybe they could know something
I know the words we use to say Is like winter today Before it was (somewhere?)(somehow?)(summer?) on a holiday Every words we used as games It was just the Suffering with flowers and peace We were so happy to feel so free But now our world is like a Sea from what I gathered this could possibly be the lyrics
i have no idea what song this is, but if you told me it was a scene from a an early 80's Polish cartoon where all the characters stand and squat to the music i would believe you
My idea of the lyrics (mostly similar to somekindofbox264's lyrics since I read those before trying to figure it out myself): I know where we used to stay And I've been there today Before, it was summer on a holiday And the (words/worlds) we use as gifts It was just a summer breeze With flowers and peace It was happy, and we were so free But now, our world is like a sea I know the words we used to say As I been there today Before, it was summer on a holiday And the (word/world) we use as gifts It was just a summer breeze With flowers and peace It was happy, and we were so free But now, our world is like a sea Notes: I'm confident about "like a sea" since I can hear the "k" sound, and that "gifts" is plural since I can hear the "s". There's definitely a "the" and not an extended "w" the second time, unlike the first time where I think it might be an extended "w". I can also hear "before" the first time instead of "because".
Legacy makes more sense to me given the context... same for "In my window today"... "every words we used as games" "our word is legacy"... probably suggested before...
