Ugh! Watching Karen pay her last respects to Rosario was brutal. I always tear up when she tells Rosie she won't be going with her to the cemetery, because she can't bear to watch them put her in the ground. Most of us can relate to that experience. It was such a well-written scene with just the right mix of pathos and comic relief, and Megan is brilliant in it. It's even sadder now, knowing that Shelley Morrison passed away a couple of years after this episode aired. I always loved seeing her on the show.
@@leot1864 This episode aired November 2, 2017. Shelley died a couple of years later, on December 1, 2019. When the series was revived, she was 81 years old, needed a wheelchair to get around and had already retired from acting, so she turned down the offer to return to the show. With Shelley never coming back, they're only option was to have Rosario die early on in the revival.
@@jeremyphillips7827 That is right! They will always be in my heart the two of them. So many laughs .... Do you remember when Karen was pushed off the bolt by Lorraine Finster and Rosario jumped off to save her and later on after in the same episode they appear in a Jet Ski at high speed towards back to the iate. It was priceless.... This show saved my life when I was in a brutal depression.
@@DavidSousaPyeah I feel you on that, heck it's saving me right now to be real. I always avoided watching this scene but for some reason I decided to listen with my eye's closed to lessen the pain. But yeah I hope you're in a better mind state now. RIP to Rosie and Leslie Jordan. Peace and blessings to you.❤
Rosie being buried with her favorite cleaning products and Karen using one to clean a dirty spot on her coffin was as funny as it was deeply loving, just like their relationship 💕
This is truly the most beautiful scene of will and grace, when miss Rosario dies, they had this bond, her and Karen, and we see Karen going into the chapel and looking around, making sure no ones around because she's so vulnerable, that duo was the best to me in the history, we can't say Karen wasn't mean to her, but Rosario could take it and throw it right back. And Karen's speech to her was so beautiful and sad❤❤
I remember finding this on TV when I was away at university and my lecturer beat me up, and they hid the tapes, and other stuff, but this series helped me have half an hour or an hour of rest from life, helped allot, thank you to all who created this series. The end scene is so impactful now more than when it aired, so sad, people laughed when she pulled out the cleaning bottle, but cleaning the lid for her was her sign of doing something back, the death of smitty was another sad one, I’m so glad they brought him back when they did. To wrote out the character and conclude it these best way possible, with him and Karen finally having that talk, she did care for him to. 😂
“People keep asking “What do you need? What do you need.?” I need for you not to be gone.” My best friend died last summer. Although I hadn’t been able to see him since he moved away just before COVID, We had long, phone calls that kept us as close as possible. Although his health had been deteriorating, it was still an utter shock when I learned of his death. I found this scene deeply moving when I first saw it. I had already lost both parents. Since we lost Phill, it’s like a punch in the gut.
I was born in '98 and would come home from elementary school and watch will and grace. I remember Jack and Karen's friendship always being my favorite, but growing older, I came to favorite Karen and Rosie's relationship so much more. The ending scene brought me to tears
I'll always remember Shelly Wilson in her younger days in her role as Sister Sixto, the Spanish sister on the Flying Nun who was always trying to learn American English idioms. Sister Sixto, "Well, I'm tired. I think I'll go slap the sack." Sister Bertrille: "You mean, "hit the sack, Sister" Sister Sixto: "Slap? Hit? What's the difference as long as it hurts?
I did not know that Shelley Morrison, a.k.a. Rosario Inés Consuelo Yolanda Salazar, had passed away in 2019. Oh, this made me cry. She was born in 1936, so it's ok to go. She was one of the major elements of the show that made it what it was. I've always said "the only things wrong with Will and Grace, was Will and Grace. "Karen, Jack, and Rosario" were the real stars...And their writers- Hilarious...Absolute genius.
This episode always makes me cry now because I definitely know how bad it feels to watch your loved ones lowered into the ground. I lost my mother on Good Friday back in 2019, & then just last year, I lost my sister on 8/23/22 from complications of Covid-19 due to it caused her heart aneurism to burst in her heart as she was recovering. 💔😢
@GLMADRID1455 She died due to covid putting her in extreme distress on her weekend body, & her ability to breathe, which caused her heart aneurysm to burst because of the constant pain from trying to breathe & the extreme pain she was going through so finally her 6ft 100 lb body couldn't take it any longer. 💔
The show, when Rosario goes... so sad to watch... And Karen loves her very much. This was so hard to see a good friend going this way. Karen shows that Rosario was her everything. I love you Mama
I know they always sneak in little comedic details that might not be mentioned, but I have to ask in case someone else saw it... Did Karen have Rosario buried in a quincinera dress or why all the ruffles?
I always thought they could’ve done a better job staging the scene at the coffin. Put a few more flowers in front or something-you can clearly see the coffin was empty.
Karen and Rosario were the best of the show. I hate how people claim Jack was part of the best too when he only seemed funny because he was with Karen most of his scenes, she made him more interesting. His scenes with Will and Grace were always just like Will and Grace meh! But not Karen and Rosario those two were the best.

That last “te amo mami” just broke me… That was pure love between these two. And Megan’s acting was out of this world!
No acting I cant remember fully but she was eitjer dead or dying at that time. She was heart broken
Beautiful last words to her
This is the best legacy Shirley Morrison left for us fans. Thanks for your comedy Shirley. RIP

Her name is SHELLY!!!! 🥴
I loved how Rosario talked to Karen any kind of way! 😂
I always loved Karen and Rosario's relationship

This relationship was another reason to watch the show. Between Rosario & Jack, Karen was a great character. RIP Shelly Morrison 🙏💔🎭🕊
Her Spanish last words to Rosario got me in the feels. It showed their mother daughter relationship in such a sweet send off.

"Ow! Did you just pinch me?!" Genius writing and performances.
Their relationship was quite possibly the best one on the entire show.
How did I miss this farewell to Rosario??? I've NEVER seen this whole episode before. How precious this little piece was. OMGOSH!!! 💕

Karen saying goodbye to Rosario makes me an emotional wreck everytime 😢. Loved their relationship x
Shelley Morrison 1936 - 2019 RIP
Was a shame she wasn’t well enough to return as Rosario in the Reboot - plus she retired from acting in 2016.
It makes me even more glad she was part of the internet get out the vote video that led to the reboot.
Brilliant detail - I noticed the MEMBERS ONLY jacket before Karen commented so awesome 'a lady likes nice things' top of the line comedy writing

Karen and Rosario's relationship is sometimes mother and daughter, other times an ersatz lesbian one.
