I love the fact that you explained the most common adaptations to deal with the many different harass options your opponent has in their arsenal, as well as a few scouting tips for deciding what build they did.
Thanks for the tutorial, it's helpful to hear your thoughts. What do you do if the opponent goes for viking(s) early, do you pull the ravens back and use them for your first push, trade them out for scv kills (and hope to get lucky and catch the vikings out of position), etc? Cheers.
That's an interesting question. Obviously the 2 base terran wanted medis for the doom drop, but if youre looking to play defensively against a 2 base, you'd think it'd be good to have vikings to keep their tank line at bay and to help prevent a doom drop. I'd love to hear beasty's reasoning behind this :)
You don't need vikings because if you see his army constantly you can use your marines to prevent doom drops, if you want different unit other than medivac (if you have too many) make liberator to break the siege lines. Yes, vikings can be useful but they are very squishy and not paying attention for one second you'll be losing them all, plus less stim potential.
Hey beasty I need help with TVT match ups when it comes to gold/plat league. Every time im in a tvt game I face off against a turtle terran that immediately goes siege tanks to stop any timing push and eventually spams missile turrets everywhere and builds mostly planetary fortresses. I've tried out expanding them and going BC/raven/bio and it works sort of but he can remass too fast and the bc's are so expensive that by the end of the game I don't have any money left. I've tried using ravens with PDD and mining the siege tanks but he usually has planetary's everywhere so even if i do that i can't end it and he can just remass his army. Any tips/builds/ unit compositions that go well against this?
just keep pressuring him before he gets all the planetaries, and if totally desperate you can try to doomdrop his mainbase, also just more harrassing in general with ravens, drops, pushes
Hey beasty, I´ve been killing it with this build, Im lower diamond. Hope I can be a master one day. Can you make a tutorial video on how you baneling snipe? Thanks for the great content and keep it up!
Hey Beasty ! is this opening still viable with the recent nerf of raven turret (3 shot to kill scv instead of 2) ? especially for the double raven harass, is it still efficient enough or a bit overcommited right now ?
I think you need vikings. Do you disagree? If you have no vikings your opponent goes liberators to force you to unsiege your tanks. This forces you into vikings, especially when lib range completes. Because of this the meta should be to go a handful of vikings (since too much air does no good vs bio) without libs because the liberators are only useful vs both no vikings and doom drops.

Your thought process and explainations are top notch!
You're a god! I understood what to do because you showed the purpose of everything you did and talked about every szenario. Keep it up ;D
Awesome video as always! Will we see TvZ guides in the future as well? :)
Yep!

You make ghost and nuke the one viking killing your imba raven.
Why do you opt for lots of mvaks instead of vikings?

We see a lot of all ins on that match up 2 factory build, how do you defend it? what is the right reaction for it?
this video is amazing! my TvT became my best my by far :D will you consider doing a video on 2/1/1 in TvZ btw? thanks for the great content!
mu* xD

It's still viable yes. I think most people do one raven these days but on some maps double raven is still super good for harassing.
alright thanks for the answer =)
really good video again !

It depends, games are usually too fast for that kind of siege up positioning and it also depends on the map. It's mostly doom dropping these days :)
Really cool video
i watch this almost everytime i open youtube
Good stuff dude
Good stuff.
who else gets stuck at 12:50?
this a great video lol
