Nice Job
Thank you. Great video and sorta fun too. Just curious if based on the amp specs of this particular condenser unit if a 30 amp service disconnect would have worked as opposed to the 60 amp.
Yes but with the cost of a 30 just under the 60 and maybe some day they may change to all ele. I used a 60.
Fused disconnects are best, redundancy never hurts.
I see no reason to have fuses at the unit when there is a breaker feeding the line.
@@Powlashvac How about when you have a 100amp breaker feeding the line to the disconnect, and the Heat Pump also has heat strips installed that require 60 amps of overprotection vs the 30 (HACR breaker) or 35 (fuse) for the heat pump itself.
@@jeremyallen1311 then you put a breaker for heat pump breaker for heat strips.
Those disconnects suck. I have had one break with one leg stuck in the base. Dangerous garbage.
They are great to use I have used them for years and never had any problems. Thanks for watching the video.
thank's powlas excellent work! I love all your video's iv'e learned a lot thank you for sharing!!!!!!
