Really tight call if I'm being honest, but in terms of a better prime it has to be Torres, he came 3rd in the Balon D'or for 2008, that's how good he was. Villa may have had more in his locker such as being able to take free kicks and having the better link up play, but the way Torres set the PL alight in his debut season by scoring 33 goals and scoring in the Euro 2008 Final made him a strong contender for the Balon D'or. Then for better career it's David Villa - he's won everything in the game, one of his more underrated achievements was winning the league with Atletico in the 13/14 season, where both Barca and Madrid were in their prime(Barca had just got Neymar and Madrid had just got Bale). Either way both of them were elite strikers🔥.
Torres at his peak from age 23-25 was simply too hot to handle. It was his pace and strength that scared defenders. I think the key evidence to that is his famous goal against Germany in the 2008 Euro finals. He was strong, fast and just half a chance on goal, he’ll put it past the keeper no matter how hard the defender tries to keep up
Villa any day. In terms of attributes only villa could use both feets effectively, could play practically every position at the front, was clutch for Spain at the WORLD CUP, clutch for Barcelona the season after, probably Barcelona’s best 9 since Eto’o, highest goal scorer in La liga with Valencia, scored many unbelievable goals second only to Suarez. Torres at his best was good but not as good as prime Villa
Villa. Both were hampered by injuries but Villa was so crucial for Barca winning the treble and Spain the world cup that I have to chose him. Villa is probably the only striker Pep ever really liked.
