Scania is now over priced unreliable junk . I have a 530 DAF that out performs the Scania on every level... Scania is just too labour intensive .. expensive parts .. too many recalls... Dash board glitches.. etc etc.
I started driving lorries when I was 12 years old., My first was a Commer and progessed tto a Thames Trader...........Both tippers...I now have a 143 and so easy to drive compared to what I started with...No power steering years ago .
Whatever happened for a few years these Scania trucks were pretty popular here in the states but I never see any of them today. Might be because I've retired from trucking 17 years ago. :)

Dude i used to drive the scania 143 470hp a couple of years ago,all i can say is that it is a wonderfull truck and i still remember i used to haul 90 tons of iron ore(weight alone) and still dare to climb any hill or getting down from it But only wit 1 thing,the truck must be in good condition lol.....
We only got a HP rating of 450hp in Australian spec 143's, other than the Streamline/Centurion, which got 500hp (and Electronic Diesel Control) - NZ got 475hp in their non-EDC 143!
lovely song, lovely truck.. there where no highline 143, but the truck you didn´t find better ;) There was Streamline and maybe Megaline, but sorry no Highline :) But nooo no one could follow them ;)
emm quite impressed wit the update,im only a driver and doesnt no wat other country has.Well i wonder how much weight does the truckers who drives those has 3 axle on their lorry cause we dont have them here mine is just 6x2 model.Hope u understood,cause im not sure wat they call such truck hehehehe.
