It's pronounced Duh nel ee yuh. And do not worry it took me 6 months to get it right and I still butcher it if I am tired. This young lady is one in a billion vocally. I compare her vocal quality to Karen Carpenter who had as natural a beautiful voice as you can imagine. Daneliya is better. The best pure singer I've ever heard and I'm 72 and have heard a lot of great singers. This girl sounds the same whether she's in a studio, live with music, or just busting out acapella. She may not have perfect pitch but she is always pitch perfect. Unless she is sick, and even then I've never heard her go sour or sharp. He tonal quality is so smooth and pure that it's like wrapping yourself in a giant, warm comforter having come in from a very cold outside. She is 14 here and 16 in real time. It was her blind audition for The Voice Kids Ukraine where she was 10 and sang, 'Stone Cold'. I have a chronic condition that has two components, pain and sleeplessness. So when the meds lose their effect I wake up and usually have a gap before the new meds kick in. That's when I hit the internet looking for singers to distract until the meds kick in. Well when she started singing she had barely gotten out the first stone cold and I was struck by a bolt of emotional lightening. My vision went white for 15-20 seconds. Well in real time she had one of the quickest all chairs turn arounds in that shows history. I was a mess for an hour after her video was over. She is special for so many reasons but the most important is her ability with emotional transference. She makes you feel every thing about the song. I hope she moves beyond the sad songs that so many young singers tend to fall into instead of stretching and letting us see just how talented they are.
