He's a good actor in a comedy role, comedy is typically for a side character OR a multi star movie.
He is great at drama, but the Indian audience doesn't care about pure drama movies, the Indian audience loves utterly stupid masala action movies. Arshad doesn't fit that criteria.

Riteish Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra and Shradha Kapoor in Ek Villain Returns. Ek Villain was successful because of the chemistry between their characters. Especially Guru-Aisha, Rakesh -Sulochana and Guru-Rakesh. The chemistry, thrill and the villain's sarcasm is missing in the second installment.
There were rumours that Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar will be collaborating for Jolly LLB 3 … If that happens it will be so much fun to watch …

Saif Ali Khan played Randeep's character as Indian James Bond. He was really great protagonist for the series. Even Race 1 and Race 2 has good story and surprising plot twists. With good side characters and Vilianes. Race 3 literally destroyed everything that built by early two films.

1.Kareena was never been replaced, the character n story line was different which needed a new face
2. I guess no one missed Tabu in Hera pheri 2 as the film always revolves around 3 characters.
3. Akshay In OUTIM 2 was not accepted by audience.
3. John in Welcome and Salman in Race are the biggest blunders of all time to ruin a loved franchise.

Saswata Chatterjee is one of the most mealable actor in our bengali film industry. Any role he takes, he does it in it's own different levels. None can ever replace him.

Everyone just talks about Emran Hashmi's kisses and all but no one talks about his massive realistic acting! He is an amazing actor and can do serious roles very well
He did mostly low budget massey cinema for years. He was starting to be accepted as a good actor when he did shanghai. But sadly his childs illness meant he had to take time off. Sadly by then many other actors entered the fray by then and his career hasnt recovered since. Sad coz hes really talented. But im sure all of us would make the same choice as he did for his son. Good thing being, his son is healthy now
A Saif who is the soul of Race is a misfit for Bunty and Bybli, while Abhishek had the same issue for Bobby Biswas. A similar case for Akshay.
Originality is the key, you connect with the original so much that even the best cannot replace it. I felt the most for Jolly LLB, had the same for Saif in Race 3 where Salman was a misfit but the script there was so bad that even Saif would not have been able to save it as even Abbas Mastaan were missing

Abhishek himself disagreed for BAB 2 as he didn't liked the story. That's why Yrf gave role to saif

You missed the 'Dhamaal series'. The third instalment didn't have Sanjay Dutt & other actors from the first two instalments, and instead Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit & Anil Kapoor were completely new additions to the film.
Madhuri is definitely not made for a comedy film. Her performance was nowhere interesting
No worry last installment of this series is coming full on dhamaal it's in storyline development and we have sanjay Dutt and Ashish Chaudhary return as acp kabir and Boman along with Ritesh Javed and arshad

I think they didn't replaced tabu in phir hera pheri it was just a script demand because in phir hera pheri bipasha basu's character scammed three of them and story continues, but if tabu would've been in movie then she wouldn't get much role so it was a wise decision to not include tabu in it, they didn't replaced her

Removing Arshad Warsi from Jolly LLB 2 biggest pet peeve of mine, his performance felt so natural and grounded in reality.
Replacing SASWATA as BOB BISWAS was the biggest mistake of the makers. The way he says *NOMOSHKAAR* 😶😶😶
But abhishek had given justice to this character, well, it was Saswata himself who decided not to do Bob biswas..

Because there was no director abbas mastan in Race 3...it was remo dsouza that's why it was flop...Main plot and Storyline were totally changed in this movie...and main characters were changed too except anil kapoor...There was no thrill no suspense no strong and interesting story which we expect from the thriller masters abbas mastan movies...just a crap which we had to tolerate...!!!

In all honesty, Akshay wasn't replaced in welcome back by John. John's character was entirely different, we even see a flashback scene in the movie with Akshay in it.
Edit: Same is true for Tabu in PHP, Sharman in Golmaal returns and Arshad in Jolly llb 2; with their characters being referenced in the sequels.
Akshay Kumar was playing the role of Ghungru's Nephew, whereas John was playing the role of his stepson.

There are major hint in golmaal returns at the scene of shreyas talpade's entry... There are dialogue that... Shreyas asked looking to photo of sherman "yeh koun hai, woh bhi ek lakshman hai.. woh ab kaha hai, then ajay said that woh ab saatve aasman mein hai..."

Even i was heartbroken by that fact. Akshay as Dr. Aditya Srivastava was something very addictive to watch. Kartik aaryan is a good actor undoubtedly but i one i think i noticed he's been playing same type of character in every movie till now of his (except dhamaka). His expressions have started being very mediocre to be honest all over he's a good actor.
