I haven’t listened to all the audio drama yet) Lan Zhan never looked for Wei Ying using inquiry. I actually didn’t learn about that until I started reading fanfics. It’s not mentioned in the original canon

For some reasons, the beginning wasnt too enticing but when I kept seeing the high rating for The Untamed each time I surf Netflix for a good Chinese fantasy to watch, I thought fine! Idkn what did the composer did and who he is, but this helps my concentration while studying and calms me down when anxiety and panic starts and it helped my babygirl when she was in bones pain, and helped her today when she was in pain, too, all nosiated, weak of wommitng and diarrhea and stomach ache. I played this to her and in less than a minute she baceme peaceful and she fall asleep. I don't know why, but it sure does help...

In the movie Wei Ying gets sidelined by the cultivation world for his demonic cultivation but his Lan Zhan was always there with open arms to always welcome him and protect from everyone.
In real life Sean Xiao was boycotted because of some careless people. But how heartbreaking, he had to bear it all alone with not much of a friend to protect him.
I'm a late fan but thinking about what Wei Ying and Sean Xiao went through bring tears to my eyes.

i only know he play inquiry for years (16 in drama & 13 in novel) from the theme songs that wang yibo (LWJ) sang the lyrics said "searching by playing "inquiry for the soul" only tp receive echos that ring hollows" and followed by "are you still inquiring? inquiring about the same obsession pursued by mortal souls since time eternal" this lyrics stays the same, until the story change after he meet WWX again (this ending part show the've meet again by the closing lyrics "with you by my side, i hope you have been well, that you suffered no illness and pain since our last farewell"), the lyrics change to "NO LONGER asking for about the same obsession pursued by mortal souls since times eternal"
